If you haven't heard (Two Hour Wargames has released their first book for Sci-Fi Chain Reaction - 5150 This is great news for those of us that want a neat system for a bit of gunning fun. These are the folks (guy really) that brought us . One of the best features of these systems is the fact that solo gaming is build-in! Lord Abaddon of Wormwood |

Bought it, haven't read it yet... too busy fixing a (dying) rig! Can't wait! Solo and coop gaming need some serious props. They're for those of us that prefer killing friends 'accidentally' instead of enemies on purpose. ![]() |

Have been thinking that pop. the streets with old style blue and red game board counters - the ones that had a cone body (circle base) with a little nob on the point end - looked like a stylised person. Now if one pop. an entire board with these the players don't know where the enemies are untill the guns flow forth. Then you replace them with app. figures. Think Matrix and the Agents - anyone of the people could be an agent. Also think movies/shows where the bad guys are unknown and the good guys are just hi-tailing around. Still waiting for my link to download the book - seems I have cought the flip side. Lord Abaddon of Wormwood |

After looking at the site I was tempted to order ATZ and/or 5150 (mainly due to solo play) but the way the purchasing happens has made me very squeemish. You send him your money then he sends you a link when he gets around to it?! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Actually the system is very similar to Mel Ebbles web store. I understand your worry Pelthar and just so you know I'm still waiting on getting the book itself sent to me. Why do I not panic over not recieving it straight away? Well I have gotten ATZ in the past the same way and it did take a little time to get the link. I understand it's Saturday arvo/evening over there so I'm hopeing that I shall get it soon. I have just posted a tad of a rant on the yahoo site about this fact. Have faith in the chap - he is legit. Just don't order on a weekend it seems. Lord Abaddon of Wormwood |

5150 Battle Report: 200 Figures, 2.5 hours! This system can definately handle whatever you throw at it, even though it's billed as a skirmish game. Check out Ed's battle report of the gvernment vs. a rag tag force of rebels: There are also quite a few guides and discussions on the yahoo group about using your old 40k figures with this system, and as it's really open ended, you can eyeball & convert any figure. Plus, if you don't care about figuring out points coss (who does?), you can just put the figures on the table and start playing. Easiest conversions ever. Happy gaming! |

I hate to say it, but I like having a points system. Most wargamers I've met are very competitive, so just having a scenario isn't likely to draw them. The 4DK conversion on the THW board is a great start, but I do plan on making point based conversions of everything I can once I get my copy of 5150 (hopefully tomorrow...bought tonight). How did you get folks to not worry about points and just play? |

Are you using a junk filter on your email, maybe it has been caught. Hit Ed with an email if it hasn't come through by now - he is quite fast on the reply. I know he has been out of town but has been in touch with the yahoo group so you should has some result. Know your pain, and it turn out that my private email address doesn't handle anything above 5mb(or was that 10mb) so I used my hotmail account. Lord Abaddon of Wormwood |

Kane . . . just be sure to hassle Ed about that and I know he'll do something about it. In fact, on the yahoo group today he posted that was planned for Book Two but that if there was interest now he would do something about it now. So just pester him. |
