I just discovered this game, post apocalyptic, but haven't played it yet. Reading thru the booklet has inspired me to start designing some apocalyptic terrain for the game. I'm so in the mood for this! Has anyone played this game? |

Sorry, here is the link. EARTH AD 2 You can design about any senario you wish ... create any map. Since it is so new, relatively, I'm jumping in with everything I've got ... every talent used and underused, recently learned, and yet to be imagined. I want this one! Yep, I'm excited about it. I can consolidate so many things with this. I think I have found someone to play it with too. A neighbor who moved up here last year from the gulf coast. My brother will most likely play as well when he visits. |

If you like post-apocalyptic, also look at Metamorphosis Alpha (v4) at: The setting is a lost starship where PCs must survive disaster and uncover the various truths of what happened and what to do next. This is a story of PA, mystery, survival and interesting heroes & villians. Coupled with Savage Worlds, it's excellent. GMs can also tie in Gamma World since its a different part of that universe. |

Looks very nice, though the system seems a bit heavy for my liking....... but priced at $9.99 instead of $34.99 is making me consider getting it just to check it out. |

Oh, Shinobi, I looked at the link and downloaded the pdf ..... those pictures are beyond nightmares!!! Thats like those medievil paintings of Hell. I don't mind combat and struggle, but something about the game has to promote hope. Do they have a ratings system for children on some of these games. That one really needs one. Or maybe I just need one for myself. Somethings are so shocking, despite the daily news in the real world. But thanks for posting the link anyways, Mine reaxtion is only one and others may enjoy the game. |

Just from the trailers (which I couldn't watch) I know that the SAW films and Hostel are not for me. I'm glad the movies are made for those that enjoy them, I just wish they weren't advertised as mainstream. Arabin |

I have not watched Hostel as it seems a bit over the top for me. Saw 2 was pushing my bounds. Anything gorier would mess me up good. Silent Hill was, for a horror movie, in good taste, I think. |

I'm so happy you bought Earth ad2, Shinobi. I haven't been able to read it through in the detail my 2nd reads usually are ... making notes to myself, etc. One of my grandchildren is visiting here until school starts. We've been putting together Disney models I got off the internet. He is enjoying that ... I am so pleased, and so happy he is here for the month.

I guess I'm really not into the scary side of the horror genre. I love zombies and whatnot, but I don't like things that keep me awake at night, or have me nervously vlicking on light switches in my house. Even the Final Destination films are hard for me to enjoy. I really liked the first one, but I'm freaking paranoid about knife blocks now. I want to see the second one but can't bring myself to do it... heh. I saw some dodgey films when I was a teenager and the imagery has never left my head. Nowadays, I try to fill my head with things I enjoy thinking about afterwards. Each to their own

I saw a horror movie when I was around 12 and it has forever haunted me. I never ... you just ... well, it was a horrible experience and remains a terrible memory. Like Arabin's reactions, such an experience has led me to certain reactions as well throughout my life. Some people just can't have the 'entertainment' experience in such movies ... people just have different thresholds for things. |

Delta Ice is right
Horror movies are supposed to be scary... but I like to jump, not have freaky images in my head that keep me awake. As a kid, it's fun to freak yourself out like that, but as an adult I value a good nights sleep more. I would rather watch a film with a good story, and get a good nights sleep *shrug* Each to their own
CCotD has is right. Psycho scared me when I watched it... but it didn't keep me awake at night. Sure, I always lock the bathroom door when taking a shower now, but I still sleep at night. Arabin |
