I don't know if there is a specific system out there or maybe its just a sourcebook for D20 or GuRPs. But, Is there a mostly historic based late 1600s to mid 1700s rpg centered on the life, times and peoples of the era? France, England, Italy... Maybe involving the whole Jacobite uprising? |

Most of the RPGs of that era that I've found focus either on Muskateers or (more fantastically) on Pirates of the new world. The classic game does both and has some excellent scenario supplements. I don't think I've ever seen the Jacobite rebellion in RPGs, just as a tabletop wargame at a convention. covers that period for wargaming. For $5, you could take a punt on , but I don't know anything about it. Personally, I enjoyed Neal Stephenson's Baroque Cycle books immensely. I think they would make a grand background for a campaign. Let me know what you find. |

If only you read Swedish - in that case I would recommend Götterdämmerung, which despite its German name is a Swedish RPG set in the early 18th C. I've heard good things about it, and the book is gorgeous. But, alas, until someone pays me good money to translate it, I fear that that's not for you. |

I vaguely recall a product called "Masque of the Red Death", a Ravenloft suppliment for D&D, though I believe it was 2nd edition. It was supposed to be set in about that timeframe, and might have some useful material to work with, though with a definate horror slant. |

Masque of the red death...yes...I've them somewhere... they where Victorian horror... It was a 2edition box and there's also a new edition for the 3 edition... But I can't remember clearly the years it is set... But one of the modules of the first box is set a few years after the desaparition of Jack the Reaper...if more information needed can try to take a look again to it (I have too much RPGs that what I get is only a vague idea of them ![]() |

Hmmm, a line of miniatures that you might find useful is the Colonial Civilians set from Blue Moon Manufacturing - Intended to go with their Legend of Sleepy Hollow scenario for Things That Go Bump In The Night. The Auld Grump |
