It's amazing how much more fun halloween is with kids.... But this does raise a question, do most people on the boards live someplace that recognises halloween???? Obviously those of us in the USA do... What about elsewhere? |

It is normally fun but the people we went with tonight did not watch their kids so I was watching them. Man, if was mentally tiring. The parents of the group were off talking and letting the kids wonder around aimlessly. It was freakin crazy. IT is dark, you don't know the people wandering in the neighborhood and etc. I was soo pissed. Then my wife is asking why I was not talking. I told her because I was teh one who was paying attention to the kids. She didn't like that too well. Oh, well, I stood my ground. |

You know, it's kind of sad, the decline of this once-proud holiday. When I was a lad, the streets were SWARMING with trick-or-treaters, HUNDREDS on every block and everyone ran out of candy. Now there's few bands of kids...and you usually have buckets of candy left over at the end of the night. |

I'd say Paul is still right; it's pretty much an urban legend. As in being an infitesimally minimal risk, much smaller than, say, being hit by a car while out trick-or-treating. |

Well, around here, you have to check the county website to sort out where all the registered sex offenders live so you can skirt those homes, in additin to worrying about those little things that probably arent going to happen. We get postcards in the mail nearly once a week warning of a new person in the neighborhood. Just far enough from schools that it is prime real estate for them. Tom |
