A pretty ecclectic mix, all in all.

Given the opportunity (ie, previously-mentioned kid issues), I most typically build with a movie/DVD playing in the background...preferably one I've seen before so many times that I can "see" it without looking up and hurting my build efficiency.

I tend to prefer to build in silence. I spend too much time in noisy environments to want more noise when I am on my own. If I do feel like listening to something, I tend to listen to the radio. My favourite is the repeats of comedy programmes on BBC Radio 7 including:

I only really listen to music when driving or working out.
