Ok I just got home from taking my girls to school and I finish helping the painters move their gear out of my kitchen and thank them for a beautiful job. I sit down at my computer thinking that the paint fumes are going to kill the last remaining brain cells I have, when I notice that I have a few new emails. Thinking again to myself (thinking to oneself is much better than talking to oneself) its just more damn SPAM. I open my mail to see something that says order tracking number. Again I think yeah but I must go in person to Brussels in some dodgey neighbor hood to pick up the million pounds. Then I see that a large payment from my wife has been made. Now I'm thinking what has she gotten up to this morning? She bought me a PRINTER No more cutting and scoring my models! I have a stack of stuff I have printed and have not assembled just because I don't want to take the time to cut and score a thousand pieces. Now I won't have to!!! I will have to customize all my pdf's because I think it only excepts vector graphics. But I can change all that in either Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop I believe. ![]() ![]() ![]() Happy Happy Happy ![]() |

WOW! That's one special women alright! If you manage to create a vector template for a set or two please let us know. I would love to pick one up but thinking about creating vector guides for all the sets gives me a migraine. |

That is one sweet looking machine. My wife contemplated getting one awhile back when her friend was working at Michael's crafts store. It definitely would cut down on trimming time. |

Wow, Piper - congratulations. My wife must be the second-best as she happily agreed to put this on the to-purchase list for later in spring. Oh, joy. I guess we'll have to have WWG cutting template trading thread soon. |

It should arrive either today or tomorrow. I feel guilty. All I got her was some Philip’s IMAGEO LED Lamp. We are not allowed candles in our flat so I thought this will be a great gift for her. ![]() |

Well I bought the Pepakura CraftRobo View and I can cut out a full page (a packed page) of mech parts in a minute including setup. The software is suppose to include Illustrator plugins but I have not tested that out today yet. Today I will work on converting my pdf's to the CraftRobo |

Its going slow but thats because I'm still a bit new at this. It comes with an Illustrator Plugin but I my self am more acquainted with Photoshop then Illustrator. It is only my first day at it so give me a month of messing about before anything really good starts flowing out It is a marvelous machine. I purchased the Pepakura CraftRobo Viewer for £9.00 and I can cut anything out in a matter of seconds. Its great! I'm testing some gliders that a friend of mine made this morning. three pages and it cuts so fine that I pretty much just slipped each cockpit piece together like it was a puzzle. Really nice. I have to reduce the fold lines a bit as it cuts little lines instead of scoring. Getting better at that. My first one (pictured above) the fold lines where so long it cut a few pieces off! Trial and error. The manual for the Craft Robo is Rubbish. |

Don't let me get too close... the drool will ruin the pages... OK... So, how good was the tracking\registration between a print out and the final cutting? Can you tell if there are sharpness issues with the blade? I find that I'm going through a rather large amount of Xacto blades when I cut stuff by hand. |
