OK, so I am progressing on my Wyld Wardyn Bunch. They are Zykhee from Vor: The Maelstrom. Zykhee are tall thin blue guys with lots of mysticism. Wardyns and their young, called Wylds, live out in the wilderness and keep the Zykhee civilization safe from big scary animals. It also conveniently puts some space between themselves and the unpopular ruling class. Up first is Myntokk, who is the Wardyn special character. I never liked the idea of Blue Zykhee, so I have painted them in a variety of earthtones. The Wardyns do not use tattoos, but I figured warpaint would give them a feral feel. And I did not like the tips on his Hel'kai staff, so I made some new ones for him. I also starightened his body a little, so he isn't so hunched. I also have done a Wardyn built off the Myntokk chassis. I reposed him to a kneeling pose, whether tracking his prey or surveying the battlefield is up to you. I also built him an all-new Hel'kai, and replaced the Myntokk cape with one from a GW Chaos Warrior. This figure was actually built and painted about eight years ago, but this week I replaced his original Hel'kai with the new one, and replaced his old cape with the Chaos one, and rebased him. So this is really a blend of two different modelling and painting styles. I need to rebase my Wardyns I converted and painted back in the day, and paint the one I converted yesterday. I should have more pictures of this project by the weekend. |
