I have been digging around looking for plain-old-black-round-non-slotted bases, for rebasing a BUNCH of Clix minis, but I'm not finding anything that fits the bill. I did spot some confrontation ones at a shop, but they wanted $4.95 for 10 of them! ![]() Any suggestions? |

I used all the bases from "Mutant Chronicles" board game. They lasted a while:) |

I was thinking, if I can't find cheaper alternative, buying a bunch of 15 to 19 cent D&D minis and sacrifice them to the xacto! ![]() |

has these listed at $4 for 20, but then shipping puts that at almost the same price. If you bought a BUNCH, though, it would be worth it. Would be $9 for 20 or $13 for 40 or $17 for 60 including shipping, |

I've bought the following from GF9... I bought the quart size and while they are wood bases, they are inexpensive and work well. I really wanted to get a bunch of bases so that I could add little numbers on short brass posts so that I could easily id the massive armies I sent against my PCs. ![]() Anyway, I think they're a good value for the price. The favorite ones i found were the ones from Mongooses Judge Dread line, those were my favorite bases, they were REALLY expensive though so only used a few of them. I was actually in a similar situation the other day so what i did was just took some of the left over card stock bits from a a floor i didn't use all of, and glued it onto the top of the Sloted base, then glued the fig on. It now fits it's environment, and it's a cheap way to get rid of the slot, and use up Card stock scrap ![]() |

I just recently got in an order from Litko Aero. $12 for 100 1" round, 3mm plywood. Shipping was abysmally slow, but I wasn't in a hurry or anything. You can buy smaller quantities for less, of course. They also have a nice variety of shapes and sizes, and a custom option if you want something unusual. Litko has taken some flak on these boards recently, but how much do you want out of a base anyway. Around slab of wood is a round slab of wood, after all. Shipping was $7, but I ordered a bunch of stuff. |

Have you considered using slotted bases and taping\painting them? That is after all what I have to do with my slotted bases that aren't completely filled when the miniature is mounted. |

Sand and white glue mixed together works as well. Then again, my typical base is flocked with sand and patches of flock 'grass'. The Auld Grump |

Can you get hold of English coins? Our 2 pence piece would probably be just the right diameter and worth about 4 cents at todays exchange rates. Don't know if you can get hold of small denomination coins at an American bank though or wether they just deal in notes. |
