I have not had any time to work on my RPG's as my wife is gone alot with her Doctorate degree. So I was thinking of trying and/or for a setting and converting them over to GURPS. Kind of like what I have been doing with the Goodman Games series. Both appear to be good and of course on their own respected websites the fan boys rave about it but that can hardly be trusted all the time. The thought of an 800 page source book for one city, Ptolus, really intrigues me and so does the long continuing campaign of Pathfinder. So if anyone here has tried or own them please give me some input. Thanks. |

My group just finished with pathfinder. Finished in that we are all dead. Not really the modules fault, we rushed in despite over 100years combined RPG experience. We did have a ton of fun up till then. We've moved on to a d20 post apocalypse game and Starship Troopers. Harp is on the near horizon. I'd love to get back into GURPS, but I'm pretty much the only one in my group. |

I have Ptolus lying around here. Very cool book, choke-full of ideas, places, adventures and what-have-yous. Haven't played any games set there yet, though. |

I'm also thinking of Alderac Entertainment Group and . One of those RPG stores sells both in pdf so it comes to £15 or £16 for each. Not sure how good they are. I saw a map of the Worlds largest city and its just a huge rectangle packed with buildings. Not much imagination there. So now I'm debating on what to purchase as I guess Goodman Games is discontinuing the Dungeon Crawl Classic series very soon. I may just finish out my collection of those first. They certainly have come in handy as adventure fillers when I have not had time to advance a current campaign. |
