I went to Gen Con for the first time in 26 years this weekend past. I had a good time, and will likely go into more detail tomorrow, but a few observations - Indianapolis is a much friendlier city than Milwaukee, the folks actually seemed happy to see our money, err I mean us. And I spent way too much money. 
Now however I am bound for bath and then bed. I am a tired Auld Grump. The Auld Grump, who is tired enough to think writing about himself in the third person is funny.... |

My friend Mike actually played both the Battlestar Galactica and the Age of Conan boardgame demos. I hear the BSG boardgame is like the talk of the convention. It's all the rage over on Boardgame Geek right now. (His description of Age of Conan made me think of the Groo card game for some reason. Trying to build an empire while Conan walks through your territories, potentially mucking up your plans) |

Hey - I live in Milwaukee, and you could not be further from the truth. Funny thing is, Gen Con 26 years ago was held at UW-Parkside in Kenosha, so you were actually more likely dealing with some Flatlanders (people from Illinois). Have to run - I can't concentrate with all of these Harleys riding around town. |
