I know that one model company, Foundry, released a pirate set and also a Eldorado Spanish set. I cannot say for the spanish set but i have seen some of the pirates and they are well worth it. I hope this helps. Hanx Elrond |

Reaper Miniatures also has some piratical goodness. A boxed set: http://reapermini.com/?nav=Models&sub=B ... ragonspine a few scattered pirates and swashbucklers that I am too lazy to try and find, and my favorites - a bunch of undead pirates!" http://www.reapermini.com/gallery/warlo ... 3_G?full=1 Two undead pirate captains (both with the same name, but completely different figures...): http://www.reapermini.com/gallery/warlord/14029_G and http://www.reapermini.com/gallery/2400s/2437_G And undead pirate gunner!: http://www.reapermini.com/gallery/warlord/14084_G The Auld Grump The plastic Empire Militia from GW also work well as pirates, and I combined pieces from that set and the plastic skeletons and zombies to, errr, flesh out my undead pirate crew. (Over twenty at last count... and five ogre pirates as well.) |

Post subject: | Eureka Pirates |
I have several of the Eureka female pirates ![]() I am currently toying with the idea of first using the Maiden as a VSF exploration vessel which finds an uncharted island and you can guess the rest. Old Glory makes a pack of European sailors from 17th or 18th century which I will use for other scenarios. D7[/img] |

For cannon you might want to consider purpose built, scale, ships cannon. I converted some 40K stuff recently to sailing ships and bought cannon including the trucks they go on and brass rings on the side for the ropes and pulleys (and the ropes and pulleys). All this came from a shop in Melbourne that specialises in model boats, most of their stuff is made in Europe and should be available everywhere, check your local hobby shop. The Eureka teddy bears are fantastic, I love the cavalry, teddy bears on those kids toys, horse's head on a stick with wheels on the other end. Very Cute. The Pax Limpopo range from Eureka also has some great pygmies, they are sitting, painted waiting for me to get the adventure written. Steve |

Hmmm, WWW.Discounthobby.com now has a promotional Blackbeard figure that looks... well, great I'm afraid. Sandra Garrity is my favorite scultor, and she did a great job on this one. The problem is that they are limiting it to 250 castings, giving them to folks who order $30 or more of selected ranges, then destroying the mold. Dang them! Dang them to Heck! May the Lord of Inadaquate Lighting claim them all! The Auld Grump |
