That was fun... Geeks vs cool guys... My wife allways tell to me that he can told me wich ones play "that games" only by seeing them... but I belive that my bunch at school where quite "normal"... yes we were the "ones that play D&D"... but we do sport... have friends... well as far as I could remember I was the only one that had a grilfriend (that ending beging my wife) but all of them are now married... So we were no Geek ![]() ![]() |

My high school d&d group was comprised entirely of football and basketball players. One ended up playing receiver for TCU, one played AA ball for the Reds, two all-state basketball players, etc. Well, ok, there was the skinny journalism geek that is now my brother-in-law... ![]() Anyway, those were my friends, so that was who ended up playing. |

I honestly think geekitude was more of a prerequisite for D&D playing in the US than in Europe (or at least in Sweden). I mean, obviously some geekiness is required, but the distinction wasn't quite as sharp here as when I was living the USA. One of our players in 10th grade was also the school's most notorious casanova, for instance. That said, I still love the clip, except for the obviously erroneous use of "campaign" by the DM. |

I posted purely for the funny factor. The reality in my experience was a bit different. The group I gamed with in Highschool was comprised of Punk rockers, Goths and Preppies. Not really the stereotypical "geek" like shown here (well maybe one or two people). Still funny though ![]() |
