Post subject: | General Frustration |
The background to my frustration is that I haved had three different residences over the last seven months. Money is tight, so I can't just drop $20 on printer cartridges and buy minis at the same time. But, I can print out stuff in black-and-white, which works fine for some Ebbles stuff I want to go with a particular faction in my 15mm Traveller project. I can't find my cutting pad, one of those nice resealing jobbers. I cut out one of my little rescaled Utility Floaters (which turned out very nice, BTW) on the wife's wooden cutting board, and shredded it. I can't find a cheap cutting pad anywhere. So not only can I not print out my rescaled Mars Station to get some good 15mm terrain going on, I can't even cut out and assemble the stuff that I can print out. Anyways, I found enough Flames Of War stuff in storage today to keep me happy until next payday, and bought the fixin's for Bloody Mary's while grocery shopping (booze counts as family entertainment and therefore isn't budgeted as hobby supplies lol!) so I guess I am good to go for a while. Now, since I am on a bit of a roll here, I may as well go on about my Traveller stuff. I know I have no chance of playing the game, so i can write the kinds of adventures i want to run and not care that my players just want to shoot and kil stuff. As I have been jotting down notes about various adventure seeds, I have noticed that the adventures seem to sort of intertwine, that the relations between the factions are becoming much better defined, and that I am having a wonderful time plotting all of this goodness. And I am having lots of fun paintuing my 15mm stuff, too. Maybe one day I can stop painting and writing long enough to take some pics. But I think I will wait until I can print and assemble some re-scaled WWG terrain to stage them on. |

Impala Sorry to hear about your "luck" as I can fully understand. Just moved, not enough room, stuff in storage, can't find it and was just laid off. It is cool to hear you found something to keep you motivated. Try to keep moving forward hopefully things will break soon. |
