Okay, so never got those pics up, but I still highly recommend anyone remotely close to this checking it out. Next one is Jan 27-28, 2018. It is a fantastic time. |

Ah, I remember my heady days of being a member of the NMRA (National Model Railroad Association). This was back in the 1970s and early -80s. For years, it's quarterly Bulletin magazine had a center pull-out of an HO scale (sometimes also N scale, which is roughly half the size) car printed on cardstock to cutout and make a special scenic item for the model railroad layout. (Some people actually mounted them on the wheel flats from other cars.) I wish I still had those mags because I never dismounted thepse center pages! This was my beginnings in modelling, long before (almost a decade) before RPG gaming began and we needed to build scenery for miniatures game play purposes. |
