Yeah, I'm seriously jazzed they managed to get both Bridges and Boxleitner to do it - damn it sent a shiver down my spine to first hear Boxleitner's voice, then see the Tron video game in the arcade, then that first image of the Recognizer? Nerdgasm time

I am proud to say that I broke the "Deadly Discs of Tron" game at our local arcade when I shattered the high score  I was on it for at least 4 hours and it just up and died on me!
Ahh Tron...I remember throwing ice-cream pail lids around and Frisbee's at the friends, in a desperate bid for survival on the game grid...lol. |

I am sub-25 years old grew up watching Tron every couple of years with my dad. I can't wait for this movie. |

Just watched the Trailer - this is going to ROCK nicely. I am so happy on how the new 3D is working and intergating into the storyline. Nice find Denny. Can we get a Grid Set.... please. Lord Abaddon of Wormwood |

Yeah, there was a ton of matte painting and traditional animation in the original, more than most are aware of (was news to me until I watched the making of). The great thing though is how hard they pushed the existing CG of the day to do things that simply hadn`t been done before. It really was an ambitious and monumental moment in cinematic history. |

Good idea... It could be ready in time for Tron's release... just don't call it Tron... Call it future Sci Fi Dark.. Hmmm... Thats a lot of black ink... You know I don't think that movies have the same impact they used to. |

You know, the trailer has been around for over a month, but people still stood up and cheered as Bridges showed up when the preview showed before How to Train Your Dragon. (Which, by the way, did not suck! )
I just wish that I had liked the original Tron better when it first showed - it makes me feel like I am missing some of my geek cred, ya know? The Auld Grump, at least I liked Tron better than I did The Black Hole... if that had made this kind of comeback I would have to kill some people. |
