Okay, first off you NEED all three of the Himmelveil infrastructure sets - Streets, Canals, and Sewers. They are bleedin' perfect for steampunk! I would also recommend the Imex Chemical Plant plastic set - not World Works, but great stuff. I am working on a gasworks build using the Himmelveil sets and the chemical plant, and have had playing in the background - both the Dubliners and the Pogues. A great song for steampunk inspiration. ![]() Harbourmaster works very well for both its intended use and as a train station, in combination with the train tracks from the old version of Streets of Mayhem and the sewers from Gothic Realms. There are other parts from SoM that are worth checking out too - the trestles are quite in period. Gothic Realms is good for some of the nastier areas beneath the WoD. Cathedrae Noctis works for Steam era just fine, as does Wildwood Grove. Shellendrak, maybe not quite as well, but still workable. The scantings from First Light can be used to add an Industrial touch to a lot of sets - reinforcing walls, bracing stonework, etc.. You may want to look for Victorian Age: Vampire as well, best as a PDF I think. The Auld Grump, I'm gonna take me a big sharp axe, shining steel, tempered in the fire. Gonna cut you down, like an old dead tree, dirty old town, dirty old town.... |

Hey grump, have you seen or read any of the Victoriana rpg from Cubicle 7 Games? Not strictly steampunk but looks like it has plenty of inspirational material you might be able to use. I picked up the pdf the other day but I have yet to get around to printing the whole thing. What I have read looks pretty good though! Check it out here |

Heh - yes, I have Victoriana, both the free version and the newer edition. (Their cunning plan worked - the free sample led to an actual sale.) Not bad at all. Not much by way of mad science, but good. is also good. ![]() The Auld Grump |
