...a latent enchantment that causes spontaneous demonic posession of household appliances? Maybe the the toaster won't fire on you today. maybe the dryer is watching you, waiting for you to drop your guard so it can fluff you. |

that may have been a little in jest but somehow that works amazingly well with the fountain in my game! thanks! Amost all my encounters are planned for after sunset and a little magical possion could go down anytime.I'll take it! |

Another possibility is having some sort of locus there. People get in fights there all the time because there's something to fight for there - it could also explain why 5 guilds built their HQs so close together. They try to keep their conflicts quiet during the day, when the guard is more apt to catch them - but at night, they've nothing holding them back. And the locus itself could spawn something that periodically needs to be kept in check. Magius out. |

Nice! The game i'm running has been very story heavy (only one player got into a fight the first night!). I have half a dozen encounters worked out but most take place after dark. Every thing else is roleplaying. I really think a daylight pleauge dropped on them could play out in hightening political tension and staight up conflict in the streets to keep them on their toes... This is new for me to concentrate an entire campain on a few city blocks. I'm lovin it, but its not easy. thanks for idea. |
