The trees can actually hold metal minis on two levels (2" and 4" high).

The other bit is a floating web-ball... central to the adventure!

Oooo! This just looks to be better and better.

I'd been wondering about where to get some good trees for a reasonable price. Then you said they'd hold minis, suddenly the cardstock trees have distinct advantages over pre-made versions - A bit of green 'foliage' sitting on the levels will make them look really good, and can be taken off to make room for minis as required - try doing that with your standard mini tree.

P.s. Thanks for doing the instructions. I know what it is like (I've got a set of instructions I'm doing for my work and it has been really hard to keep motivated on it)

The trees are neat. I won't lie, I don't think you can beat premade trees for look or cost, but these could prove useful in certain situations.

Very cool trees, Those will come in very handy in my games. Always trying to figure out how to put our minis in trees.

Well done Aubrey for finishing the instructions. It's probably as interesting as making two dozen moat pieces for CWU (or, as I suspect, several MSM Sewer bits for an under-castle dungeon - ooohh sneak preview of an addition to my castle there).

So, when can we expect it to go gold then (1 week till Xmas !!)

Hmm, my opinion of the trees is 'ugly, but useful'. Most likely I will only use them when a PC or NPC is actually in a tree, otherwise I will haul out my Woodland Scenics trees.

This isn't a negative comment, they really do look useful, just not quite as good looking as me plastic trees.

The Auld Grump, and metal trees, and even a few wooden trees... I have quite a mix.

Looks absolutely beautiful. There is so much there I can use that it doesnt matter if I never use the RPG part of it. And now my Gaslight snipers have trees they can actually sit in! No more putting poker chips under all the trees to designate who is where. When I get caught up on the minis I've been working on, this is a must have to expand the other sets. Thanks, guys!

I campaigned long and hard for "functional" trees. I'm glad that at least a portion of the commnity is really enjoying having them.

I havent picked up the adventure yet, and I appreciate the functional trees too!

Just holding out until the Savaged version is released.

I just picked up a copy of the rules. They certainly look fun. Now all I need is some players...

I bought the set today along with Mayhem Rail. I haven't explored everything yet is the set is huge, but I've been poking around the models and standees which is my primary reason for purchasing the set.

I haven't tried printing the trees yet as my wife decided to pack our printer to stop me getting distracted while we get ready to move, but from looking at the files, and the instructions, I have to admit that I'm a little confused about how the platforms will be sturdy enough to support minis. I'm sure I'm missing something, and it will make sense when I assemble it.

Anyone assembled them yet?

The platforms (which are also sandwich folded for extra stability) are slotted horizontally into the trees, and glued into place. I can place a metal mini on each "branch" platform with no problems.

Thanks Aleph. Thanks what it looked like it. I remember being surprised by the sturdyness of the billboard's from Streets of Mayhem so the Sandwich Fold really does help. I'll give it a try as soon as I can
