Hmmm, nice as the standees for Missing Persons may be I prefer to use metal and plastic (hard plastic, not that soft *DELETED* from WotC) miniatures.

So, just in case there are others who share my hobby of buying miniatures and painting them, this thread....

For Otyughs I use two different minis (both bicked up for use as Chaos Spawn in Mordheim games) - the Chainmail figure from WotC and Bilge Treacle -

from Reaper. Both are, sadly, discontinued.

The Huge iron golem is going to be a wee bit more difficult, methinks.

Well, those of us willing to use prepainted plasitc minis can point out that both of the above creatures are available in the D&D Miniatures line, as are most of the other creatures, etc. from Missing Persons.

However, this thread is for those who would rather not. (In my case, I would rather use cardstock counters than the poorly painted pieces of *DELETED* that WotC is currently producing. And I do not use cardboard counters....)

The paint jobs on the WotC figures got better for a while, but the set that came with the Player's Kit for D&D showed that they still have some godsawful paint jobs, and several were warped because of the material chosen for manufacturing. I would rathr spend the money and get exactly the figure that I want, and paint it myself. I gave the set of D&D minis to some kids for them to play with.

Heck, based on the edited pic, it looks like Growlers would make good standins too. Now those we have some painted ones of around here, wife's army, she actually gets her armies painted...heh, unlike me.
