Missing Persons announcement

The second module of the Dark Spiral quintet, Missing Persons, was featured in tonight's WorldWorks Wednesday chat. A few secrets were revealed therein...and now you, too, can know what to expect.

Missing Persons introduces the capital of the Grey Owl dutchy, Kiermont. Somewhere within, citizens are going missing, and the Duke is counting on you to get to the bottom of this.

In the tradition of Something Below, Missing Persons expands on one of the older modelsets for WorldWorks...in this case, DungeonWorks Gothic Realms! In truth, you'll actually need two sets to build everything for Missing Persons. The set is mostly made up of Gothic Realms, but it also makes use of a few pieces from DungeonWorks Classic (or, if you have it, the necessary pieces are also duplicated in Chunky Dungeons, and will be replicated once again in "Mini-Chunk"...so any of these three sets will do what you need).

Ok, I have a question... How kid appropriate is it? :wink:

My gamers are mature kids, and can take some pretty evil gratuitous violence, but they arent quite ready to take the leap into adding sex or sexual overtones to our game...

With the colors so bright, it makes the text very hard to read on the promo poster. I agree with Fl0ydski though... it looks like a bondage session. Perhaps that is why they didn't tell anyone where they were going? Heh.

I look forward to seeing the special models that come with the set.

So, any guesses? I still don't have CD, but it seems like there's not *that* much overlap between the two sets. I figure anyone with both sets should be able to make a good guess...

Edit: just looking at the CD inventory, and judging from the MP cover, it looks like the torture room (rack and column with chains) would be the most likely candidate.

Hmm, torture equipment could be interesting. If the torture implements were generic enough to be useable in a modern setting, I might pick it up and do a naughty bodage shop in the redlight district of Mayhem...

Well, if you're thinking of a modern day bondage shop or S&M club, pretty much *everything* from Gothic Realms, DungeonWorks or Chunky D could be used as-is. Chances are your friendly neighborhood bondage shop is decorated like Aleph13's new game store anyway.

Just the cover guys. We're trying to do more mature, dark, and "edgy" material here...but the adventure does not contain overtly sexual overtones or themes. No bondage. No S&M. Well...maybe a little M, but not in a sexual way.

Long story short...it's a legitimate PG13.
