Hi guys, i'm new around and just found out about this magnific hobby of papercraft, found this homepage and love what i see ...

I'm about to buy something but what should i get? i don't know and don't have the books for D&D rules , etc or Savage. But i love roleplaying stuff (from videogames)

I was reading around the forums and i see that Wormhole will be a game created by worldworksgames with his own rules and all, i'm waiting for it 89% done! :) !

So,

Arcraetia is a game with his own rules like wormhole ? or it's D&D Based?

What's the homepage of Arcraetia i have seen people talking about a homepage on the forums ? i can't find any links thou...

Wellcome !

Acraetia is a world "created" by WWG but it has no rules perse (it use the d20 D&D ones) so for now we only have a taste of it with 4 (i belive) modules -adventures- set in that world... I supose that someday we will see something more of a "world book" I don't know... And if I don't remember bad there's more information in that forum in that section...will try to search the link to put here...

They are now developing a board-game (like the wormhole) that I hope they will be set in acraetia so I supose in the future we will have a game set in that world...

More information I supose will be given by others posters bellow mine... :lol:

As bayushi_shogo said, Acraetia is a fantasy world setting, not a game. The modules are adventures that take place in that setting using the D&D d20 rules.

Wormhole is something completely different. It is a complete game in its own right. Its played using paper minis you build yourself. However, it is a spaceship game. And isn't released yet.

WW works is also developing an expansion of the dungeon linx set. The Expansion will include a game. However as of yet no details have been given as to what the game will be like.


If you are interested in RPGs there are numerous posting reguarding game recommendations. There are even some free game sample links.

The Arcraetia adventures are designed for use with either the d20 (D&D) or Savage Worlds, seperate products for each.

There is a free download of the SW rules, but, of course, being free they cover only the basics.

The Savage Worlds rules themselves can be purchased for $9.99 for a full colour softback, damn cheap!! But I think they have no stock at the moment, and the pdf downloadable version isn't available yet.

There is also a couple of free downloads on the WWG shop. An Arcraetia intro, and a sourcebook on one of the races....... supposed to be in d20 and SW format, but only d20 at the moment :roll:

p.s. As a long time D&D player - I'd recommend going with Savage Worlds!

It's stacks cheaper, easier to learn and more fun. My D&D group of 17 years has just converted to Savage Worlds and we're getting more enjoyment out of each session of SW than we have for loooong time with D&D.
