Hi all you WWG, RPG writin' guys! How about some scenarios/campaign that utilize the killer sci-fi products that WWG creates?! Not stand alone game stuff but futuristic world stuff like you've done with Arcreatia?

I'm sad to say this, but we actually had a D20 (using D20-Future) module planned, and the writer vanished into a black hole on us.

The forthcomming standee pack, A FirstLight XX, is the refugee standees from that module (with some extras thrown in for good measure).

It's something we've talked about, and may yet explore, but for the moment nobody is writing along these lines.

Thats too bad. Do all you guys currently writing for WWG write mainly fantasy because thats what you play most?

I'd have to honestly say that's MY main reason. I've always been a D&D player, going back over two decades now. I've studied some of the other systems...played a little.

If White Wolf had an "open game license", I could probably write some pretty good modern stuff for World of Darkness...but they don't, and we don't have thousands of dollars to spend to be able to write licensed product for 'em.

What about Savage worlds? Funnest system I've played. Never a fan of D&D either genre or rule system. Played a lot of BRP from Chaosium. Sure love SW!

Joel Sparks is our Savage Worlds author, so I'd have to defer answers to that question to him.

He's also doing all the SW conversions of D20 modules (including my own).

Well, SW is crying out for a Spaceship-based adventure/setting/campaign so maybe this is an avenue that WWG could look into.

They have normal, land-based Sci-Fi in "Necropolis", but nothing set on Spaceships. I think there is one coming called "Slipstream" but I think that has a .......... ummmmm .......... 'different' focus to standard Spaceship Sci-Fi............ not that that isn't a bad thing LOL

But we could definitely use a more standard Sci-Fi Soap Opera bunch of stuff for SW.
