I am doing a decent job of getting stuff together. I just haven't put any of it on the webpage yet. Would be nice to get finalized versions of characters (and any background changes) today or early tomorrow. That way I have a chance to gloss over everything and mesh backgrounds further into the world at my discretion. I would love if we could get a decent amount done on Saturday despite the typical limitations of a first session, but we shall see. |

Ok Zerif’s/Fang’s home is called Haven. Haven is a Bar/Inn/Entertainment hall M-Th there is just a bar. Friday Zerif dose a show unless adjusted Saturday is Fights and Sunday is Dancing girl(Think Vegas). Have has a reputation for being just that a Haven it is known in Sharn that Haven is safe Place to do business due to the rule. Inside Haven no one is allowed to be armed other than tenets and the guard. Theft is not tolerated if you are caught stealing in Haven you will lose all your possessions and be thrown out in the nude and Fighting is only permitted in the ring underground (think boxing matches mostly unarmed fighting)And the final rule is no harassing the help. Most violations will get you kicked out for a time others will get you killed all depends on who you offended and what you did. Tiss is the owner and bartender of Haven He is a 50th Level Wilden Monk that has a reputation for keeping his word. Within Sharn Haven is an entity of its own and there is an understanding that the offices in Sharn have no say or power in haven Upon entering haven you want in to a reinforced steel door and are patted down and searched for weapons before the two guards watching the main entrance let you in. As you walk in Haven has all dark wood flore and table the main room boosts 6 round tables able to see 10-12 conferrable and 10 square tables that see between 15-20. At the back of the room is a sizable stage Behind the stage are 8 rooms for rent simple small 10 x 10 room for any activity you chose. Currently three of this rooms are continually rented by high gold Croissants’ . The bar is known for having the largest selection of exotic Liquors and Tiss is also known for paying top dollar for exotic liquors. There are always 6 different types of beer in stick and 3 different whiskeys Behind the bar is located a long shallow kitchen. The Door off shoot of the Kitchen leads to the more shady part of Haven. Hidden in the back in Zerif’s room and a place to fence stolen good (anything other than weapons or notable family heirlooms) Tiss room is also located back there along with a small appraisal office. Down in the basement is a large fighting ring. There are three story with rooms 2 boost simple room and the top story are lugdury sweets. Haven is built like a fortress Man items in all the rooms are meant to absorb magic and at any given time there are 6 highly skilled guards on the main room. The entrance to the back rooms and training grounds beside Haven are both guarded by Warforg Juggernauts. Tizz runs a monastery and his monks eat sleep live and train at haven and are most of the help. I think that about it anyone got any input I welcome it. |

50th level seems a bit extreme. He can punch full grown dragons out of existence. What is he doing hanging out with us then? I think we should take him down a notch. |

Hay he now has a dragon hide on his wall lol. I was thinking just for Haven's sake he is an intimidating figure by himself limits people acting up or trying something seeing as it neutral ground. And my relationship is more of a friendly working relationship he is not going to come to my aid if i do something stupid or have someone after me. But i will leave levels and creation to Aaron |

LOL at 50th level. I will handle the levels, but I like the general concept. Expect him to be high heroic tier/low paragon, if it matters. In Eberron there is a much smaller list of things in higher levels. To give you an idea, bad guys that have potentially world altering plots are high teens/low 20s. I am moving right along with the preparations, as I should be since we game TOMORROW! |

So, I haven't mentioned it yet, but I am changing things up a little. Well, not really, more like fleshing stuff out I hadn't planned on focusing on a few weeks ago. It is all very similar to what we have discussed thus far. Please feel free to continue to elaborate on whatever you'd like and I will likely go along with it. Basically, the adventuring party is a group of people put together for their unique talents to do missions. You guys are one "unit" of a larger organization. Missions come to you in multiple ways: This organization and "Clients" via the method Zerif mentioned come to mind as primary means. You guys will be members of this organization and it will be fleshed out on the website as soon as I get the chance. As of now, I am going with the acronym C.L.O.U.D. (Critical Logistics Organization Uncovering Deception) and it is involved with everything from artifact and missing persons recovery to espionage and inquisition. |

1. What’s your character’s name, race, and class? Keyleth Unaligned female Elf Ranger 2. Where was your character born? Try to describe it: What kind of people lived there how large was it, did it have a special purpose, etc. I was born in a secret place that many people are lead to believe only future kings and queens are born on this specific rock. She thought nobody was following her from the tribe since it was in the darkest part of the night high in the mountains .My mother thought she could make it up past this specific rock unfortunately she was mistaken. Once the tribe noticed where she had given birth no one stopped her they simply said “WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? This is the sacred place and that the queen would have to tell of our future. 3. What are your character’s favorite weapons and items? I don’t hand out golf bags of magic weapons and armaments. Instead, a character’s items “level up” as he increases in experience. I prefer magic items that feel personal and have their own unique histories. Also, I try to connect a character’s items with plot hooks already in place within the campaign. This gives the character a vested interest in the adventure. Common favorite items include heirlooms that belonged to beloved family members, sets of tools from memorable first experiences, or prizes won in contests. Keyleth uses two weapons: harmony blade bastard swords not sure how they ended up in my hands but, love them! I’m a woman who loves expensive things so anything will do that is useful of course: Iron Armbands of Power, Amulet of Life+1, Gauntlets of Blood, this is just to name a few. 4. What is the most important event in your character’s life? The answer to this question is preferably something that changed your character in a meaningful way. Another way to look at the question is, “Why is my character going out into the world and leaving his warm, quiet, normal life behind?” As an example, look to television shows, movies, and literary works to see how the important events in their character’s lives affected them: After many hours of traveling we met the queen. There she said “Oh humble one why have you chosen this on yourself?” My mother responded “It was only by mistake! Then the queen responded “Now you must pay for this mistake you have chosen! I will either kill you where you will not know your child or live your life knowing your child is only going to have misfortunes’ happen to them continuously.” As well as being framed for a crime that I didn’t commit damn Scarlet Jax!! I take it to heart that she did this to me therefore, I have a vendetta against her and someday we WILL (hopefully) cross paths because payback is a ….. 5. What motivates your character? Character motivations like the acquisition of wealth and power are assumed. What I’m looking for are ways to keep your character searching for clues, or to keep him with the party. Common motivations include protecting a secret or another character, seeking out the answer to a question, or revenge against an enemy. See above answer .Also, I don’t know or have any to include at this time I would like to add more possibly in the future. Once all debts are re-paid. 6. What is your character’s family like? I try to incorporate NPCs into the game, so feel free to mention best friends, distant relatives, mentors, etc. I don’t use them as ways to attack the character indirectly; instead, I use them to motivate the characters into the campaign. Be sure to name the NPCs you create. Following her my mom choice I was sent to the city where a young man and women spotted me alone near a river bank. Little did they know they were pregnant but it was too early to tell. She had a little girl as well she named Scarlet Jax. We were bestie’s partners in crime literally. WE had a gang that we called our BOYS. Until one day I was set-up and wrongfully accused of a crime I didn’t commit Guess she was intimidated by me?! I don’t know the answers in why she did but, I know she is a charismatic, half-elf rake known for her red hair and scarlet cloak and has always been an opportunist. Also, knowing her for so long I know she is great at her job-causing mischief, robbing, hatching plots and defying the law. Scarlet only looks out for numero uno! Before my departure from her and the boys we only took opportunities that brought us the best reward (DUH), but as a mercenary for hire, we often served other masters who paid well and appreciate our skill. Ooo maybe some of the gang (aka boys) is in on giving me information on Scarlet Jax as they are trying to stay loyal to me or just like me better. Perhaps getting to know more of the tribe I was born into only for a short while. 7. What does your character fear? List a few fears that can happen in-game. Common fears include spiders, snakes, or water. More unique fears can be certain spells, types of people (like kings or beggars), or special weather conditions and environments (like swamps, the desert, or the open ocean). At this time I’m little frightened of Scarlet Jax because I what she is capable of doing to me and others as she has done in the pass she has done things that I’m not proud of seeing and not interjecting I guess only for my satisfaction at the time I was selfish and saw what good was going to come from it either money or power later on. Oh and on a side note I’m afraid of a Gelatinous cube not only in D&D but, real life!! Just the thought of feeling useless and selfless against something like that freaks me out. I’m sure something’s will come up while playing the game but, I’m good at being deceiving so I may act like I’m afraid of something but, truly not. Guess it’s just to keep you on your toes. 8. Does your character have any dark secrets or hidden shame in his past? Troubled pasts can really flesh out a character’s future, but they don’t have to be deep, dire, and psychological. Dark secrets or hidden shames can be as involved as an accidental murder that the character was never caught for, or as simple as a theft of bread that left another to be flogged by the town guard. Nope, not at this time I’m sure some of you will try to make me feel guilty for the things of my past but, I really don’t care well… I guess I sotra do in some ways but, not in others to come to think of it I am sadden by the fact that I chose a lifestyle of cheating, lying, stealing, and persuading others to do the wrong only for my pleasure. It was a great run while it lasted. 9. What goals does your character hope to accomplish? What will your character achieve during the course of the campaign? Some goals, such as “to be a better person” or “to be wealthy” might be great goals for real-life people, but I’m looking for something more along the lines of things that can be accomplished through the campaign’s plot. Common goals include saving an important NPC, recovering a missing artifact, or finding a lost civilization. As I have grown up to believe that lying, cheating, and killing were the best ways to gain wealth and power, and followed these lessons ever since. Once I got busted I’m starting to view things differently since I have had some time to think about the choices I have made. Main goal is to get even with Scarlet Jax this doesn’t necessarily mean to kill her perhaps just teach her a lesson that you don’t bark up the wrong tree (no pun intended). That’s all at this time. |
