If I'm following things correctly, so far it looks like Brandon and I can do this weekend, with Liz and Liam unavailable (I think Liam said he was out for 3 weeks).
When Dyer again gets a chance to talk in private with Zerif and Fang, he'll elaborate on a few things.
"Zerif, I trust Erdick to be absolutely the last person to take the time to warn the group before acting. When there is danger about not withstanding." Then, sparing a glance at Fang. "Well...maybe not the absolutely last, but still , the rashness of that man continually baffles me."
"I have a dissertations worth of objections to Erdirk's actions. Many independent of his motivations or any influences acting upon him, and an equal number dating back past this night. None of that changes that the both of you acted in an equally hasty manner. "
"Fang. You may have been prudent to seek Erdirk submission when you reached him, but by that point you could easily have ran into an ambush or been drawn away from the real threat. You had no way of knowing that yet, and that is the center of my protest. It was auspicious that Erdick was at fault in this situation. But if he had not been, and if he then had paused to submit, it could have cost us dearly."
"Oh, and as a point of fact. Keep in mind that those two, even if under our protection now, represent traitors at least twice over. They submit under our protection now and stand repentant toward the Citadel, but who is to say they would not be groveling at the heels of the Blade Bearers had a company of them come and slain us tonight."
"Zerif. Splitting up is foolish, unnecessary, and useless to your stated aims. If the Citadel is going to hold Erdick accountable for his actions, then him being somewhere else will not benefit him. In turn, it will make any who accompany him look to be in league with him. If they feel justified, they will hunt him down, and running will only make it all seem worse. If there is a need for him to lag behind or keep him away from the Citadel while the situation is explained, then he can just as easily hide out in an inn nearby when the time comes. In the end, Jalia has her own hide to save. When it comes time to talk to the Citadel, we hold much more over her head than she does on Erdick at the moment. He may have to atone in some fashion, but running or splitting up is not going to help that. More likely, as these are not precisely agents in good standing and Erdirk is not entirely in his right mind, he will have simply soured himself in their view. I simply hope that this will not lay a stain on the rest of us. As for Cloud, we'll deal with them if and when we must."
If either of the other two artificers do attempt to question Erdick, Dyer will reassert (strongly if needed) that Erdick is not theirs to deal with.
