OMG, my son used his b-day $$ to purchase the Dread Eye Phantom Pyrate Ship.

I want one I can build out of cardstock!!! It is awesome, made out of a whale's skeleton with a ghoul maidenhead and a chair in the back that is made of the whale's tale....

I'd really like to see World Works Games to a Horror version of the Maiden....

My girlfriend loves that ship! (She got me the stormstalker for Valentine's Day....) The Dread Eye is really awesome! The video cd which comes with the skull playsets has a stopmotion movie of the dread eye in action... not to be missed!

A WW retexture or kitbash to be a 'ghost ship' would be very cool.

CCotD, your son has very good tastes I've been eyeing a few of the Mega-Blocks sets recently with a view to trying to customize them for gaming. Unfortunately, I'm a Lego fanatic and find it very hard to purchase other building blocks... lol. I wish Lego would produce more gritty stuff like Mega-Blocks does.

Apparently, Lego does not want to produce things like Judge Dredd (Rebellion keeps trying to convince them) because it's violent and they want to avoid violence in their toys. This is why we haven't seen an army set with tanks. I know, before you say it... the other sets are already violent... but that fact seems to escape them. Lets look at some of the current sets:
- Castle Types - hacking with swords and such
- Star Wars - stress the wars part
- Vikings - same as castle
- EXO-FORCE - robots and humans trying to kill each other
etc.

The new batman sets have some great weapons as well...

Anyway, back to cardstock... a ghost ship is a neat idea...

I was thinking the other day that it might be possible to print The Maiden off in greyscale and then use coloured pencils to hand-colour the pages. It would take FOREVER to do though it might be interesting.

Of course a plain Black-and-white Maiden could be used as a ghost ship as I am sure others have thought of.
