Older vehicles would be great as well, a Stutz Bearcat, a Tin Lizzie, A Dusenberg SJ Limited... (A very powerful and expensive car, when deciding how powerful to make the engine they researched what was the biggest engine available in an automobile, doubled it, then added a supercharger...), Stanley Steamer (my favorite, in an age where an internall cumbustion powered car reached a maximum of 69 MPH there were Stanleys that hit 120... but it had no transmission and truly lousy brakes...), Rolls Royce Silver Ghost, Phantom, and Phaeton. (Rolls Royce does not have the dignified beginning you might think, Charlie Rolls was considered a cheerful lunatic, he got his start before the Twentieth Century had finished rolling round.)

For planes, a Ford Trimotor, a DC 3 (Goony Bird!), Folkers and Sopwiths... Graf Spree or Hindenberg...

The stuff to fill the Streets of Arkham, err, I mean Horror Works with... (The idea of Arkham being created street by street, including good old Miskatonic University.... *sigh!* )

But yes, take the sleekest yet most monolithic aspects of Art Deco architecture and make them into a set, and you will have a very versatile pulp/horror/modern model set.

The inside of a very movie-stylized and overwrought factory a la Metropolis or Modern Times isn't terribly Horror, but I'd love to do something with a scene like it.

On the haunted house front, how about a victorian/gothic style house, complete with matching furniture (both normal and "draped" with sheets).

Big, full-length mirrors! You could use foil on the cheap, if you smooth it out.

Also, huge spooky portraits on the walls.

Both the mirrors and the protraits could use a generic "frame" that sits on an "insert", so the picture's frame will actually come out from the wall just a bit to add depth.
