Mel, is there any chance you'll design a stripmall and garage complex for the swift scenics line? Or do you have any other ideas for it? |

That's a good question. The urge to be creative frequently doesn't kick in until I'm "off the clock", and my modeling interests have shifted towards other scales and tastes. In particular, toys, whimsical stuff, and dollhouse scale items. (My wife introduced me to one of her friends recently, who happened to be a dollhouse miniaturist, and I came away from that conversation quite fascinated and interested in that hobby.) My grandson (by way of my stepson) likes to play with my paper models, and I've found myself wanting to focus more on more robust, toylike playset items and things that he can build himself without ending up in the emergency room holding a baggie filled with ice and fingers. He asks me for certain things, I don't want to turn him down, and watching him play with the things is a blast. I also happen to like silly stuff that doesn't really appeal to WWG's target market, like little block-shaped people and the world they live in. So, right now, I'm kind of on a non-commercial paper toy and dollhouse scenery kick, and it'll probably be a while before I get back to 28mm gaming stuff. |

Well, I've discussed the whimsical/toy stuff on the Ebbles forum before, and the response is usually 2 people going "Hey, neat, I got kids that would like those", a handful of noncommittal "Interesting, best of luck" responses, and a bunch of impatient people telling me to "Stop winding us up and get back to making serious models", so it's not really something with enough crossover appeal to make it worth discussing here. ![]() |

My son (8) really likes the all of the WWG models. He was really stoked about the Warlock King stuff for Halloween. My daughter (almost 6) likes the stuff too, but she wants a fairy princess kingdom set and a fairy paper minis. |
