I know you can use SOT, SOL, and SOH for Streets but it would be nice to have a fast build street layout that did the fold flat thing to go with the collapsible easy setup tear down of the Necroblock and Mayhem Corporate.

I would like to add my support to this idea, I can see several interesting directions it could take.

One thing I would like to throw out there is that in my gaming group we typically set up the streets and buildings etc at 45 degrees to the table.

In Mordheim and Infinity we find this really helps with limiting the dangers of ranged weapons going straight into deployment zones while still allowing for corridors of significant length.

This somewhat limits the usefulness of TLX road'ing tiles as triangles are hard to manage (buildings are still great as you can position them however you like)

So some sort of road'ing with with possibility for "triangle" connectors would be amazing.

Anyway, just a thought

Couldn't you just take SOL or SOH and trim off all the tabs and tape the tiles together?

yeah that's what I'm planning is pasting them on 18"x18" tiles, I hadn't really thought about the angled roads, now I'll try to put them on angles because I love that idea...

Thought about that, but after seeing the way the Siegework Trenches went together and the team's brilliant work on the Necroblock collapsible design, I am certain that if we set Denny to thinking about it he will come up with a better solution. Maybe something with slots and hooks so that it keeps a 6x6 factor but sets up and breaks down fast without foamcore.

We have great faith in the WWG design team.

The talented mr Roe (the artist formerly known as Mel Ebbles ) had a system of interlocking paper tiles without foamcore. Not sure if it's ok to show one of those tiles here, maybe the man himself can chime in on this.

Heh, I'd forgotten about my old interlocking terrain mats. The idea works in principle, but it's not terribly practical for large mats. You'd be better off speedmounting a bunch of TLX tiles on larger panels of foamcore or posterboard, then hinge-taping them so the thing folds up like a game board. It would let you use ground tiles that you already own.

Matter of fact, I've thought about seeing if I could use something like label paper over those trifold presentation board from Office Depot to create quickie terrain boards, but I don't really have any room here for a deployed gaming setup.

Those tri-fold presentation boards by Elmers are great. You can order them from Amazon too and the price is cheap enough.

Tri-folds aren't bad but they do lack some of the versatility and a pack ability of a collection of 6" tiles.
