Has anyone tried it and how's it play and feel compared to prime remix?

Also is there a source from which you can just get a full faction pack of cards instead of buying piecemeal?

I tried it under the playtest, and just played the print version this past weekend.

In some ways it is very different - Warcasters no longer cost points, they give you bonus points that must be spent on Warjacks.

A lot of effects are now linked to immunities - for example Cygnar lightning weapons no longer affect other electrical attack using units.

Points costs are much lower - a Berserker for example costs six points, oddly enough the exact number of points that come with the Butcher....

Infantry is priced differently - instead of buying a unit, then bulking it out one model at a time you can get either a small unit or a large one, but not a unit somewhere in between.

Combat does not seem to have changed all that much, but I may have missed something.

The Auld Grump

One of each of the warcasters, 3-4 of the warjacks, some solos are one some you get more, and then only 1 of each unit and attachment. This is based on Cygnar so the other decks may vary.

On the downside - Privateer is continuing with their 'Let's do the minis in plastic, and charge more money!' routine - it is cheaper to get the Ironclad and the Defender in metal than in plastic list price of $35 U.S. for the plastics, metals list at $28.

I am getting some of the plastics, but I would recommend getting the metals while you can.

Choosing factions is easy. Do you want to win, be cool, be attractive to members of the opposite gender AND have a great army? pick Cygnar. If you want the craziest, wackiest, most helpful and most friendly community? pick Mercs. Want to be uncool? pick anything else! (probably worth nothing I'm a long term Cygnar/Merc player, but the stuff about the Mercs community is true)

I saw a copy of Legends and Apotheosis in hard cover at mine for about $20 total. was tempted except with the new rules they would just be pretty book. The the modeling info could be useful.
