Hey everyone. Last week I built a fountain for my streets, it turned out cool, but I feel like I reinvented the wheel here. I can't be the first one who has done this!! Why are there no pics of others?? No booster?? What up? Denny? Hello? echo, echo, echo.......

I actually sat down to build a complex fountain as part of a complex streets build, but the files got lost in a laptop crash right before I finished. Your post is making me start to want to dig out my backup files and see what can be salvaged.

Heh, be glad that you never saw the fountain I did... not because you would be envious, but because you would be asking yourself 'what was he thinking?

The basic method for the water portion was the same that I used as a kid to make I used blue origami paper instead of newspaper, making it smaller and, ummm, bluer.

I still think that the method could work, but my actual build was, ummm... disappointing.

The Auld Grump

I glued two foam coar disks togeather and wraped them with himmel street walls and topped them with a foam ring and glued blue paper to the inside as a large base. Repeated the prosess for the upper teir. added a mountain releaf with my Goat, and made it spin arround as puzzle/skill check. Added some details to match adventure, and voila. It looks alittle rough in spots but was a solid design and repeatable. Any mini could top off my fountain. It was FUN to build and I couldn't beleive you guys haven't bashed this topic to peices. I want Denny to have a contest for our fountain kitbashes, origional designs, give the winner a first reveiw of an upcoming project of their choice! Let them give input on a booster design! Give these forums some much needed pep! I KNOW there are some really talented guys out there with mad computer skilz... well what up??

I've been shopping around a lot and I actually bought 5082 and 5083 from pegasus hobbies , might be too expensive for some people ($15 a pop) but they make some fantastic scenery. It's an old topic, but it's something we really ought to have. Considering how many of us have tried making our own it seems like the demand is certainly there as well.
