Just an idea - some things really don't need full kits. Whether an alchemist's lab is in a wizard's tower, or attached to a steamshop it remains an alchemist's lab. Ditto for a small library, an amphitheater, or a lecture room. A wall or two, some furniture, and any odd bits needed for the room.

Actually, I think these would be perfect 'Mini-Sets' to round out time between larger sets. A handful of props and a couple of walls, maybe a tile or two, is all that these would need.

Don't forget stores for the mall, once it gets TLX'd!

I like the idea of mini-boosters released in between normal sized sets and boosters as well. It would help fend off the mob and we could see something released every 4-6 weeks for sure. Combined with the return of kitbashes, the release schedule would be awesome!

Heh - a couple for Titan, even though it hasn't even been released yet.
Brig, for adventurers to wake up in the morning after the night before.
Sick bay/med lab, for the other guy to wake up in....

I like this idea..it allows for some specialized things that might not fit wholeheartedly in one set or another.

How about at torture chamber? Or a dojo? A Throne room for the dwarves?

Maybe this is where kitbashes could shine? Something as simple as one tile, one or two walls and one or two props could be an amazing addition to the catalog.

I keep telling Denny, Matt, and everyone else that small CAN be beautiful sometimes, but they still can't shake the Costco mentality that everything has to be sold by the pallet, not by the individual package. It's like they're not happy unless they can bury customers up to their ears in sweet, glorious content.

It feels like they're constantly trying to convince themselves of this but I just never happens. Even TLX boosters have gotten to be pretty expansive.
Not that I'm complaining. I just think the market for teensy week-in-development expansions is even larger than they know.

Personally, I actually prefer to buy a larger chunk of stuff, as opposed to a smaller tidbit... /ducks/

While I understand and agree with getting as much stuff from each set as possible, I don't think that every set should come with everything we want (they'd never be released at that rate), and there are plenty of ideas that would be perfect for small, one-function rooms. For example:
A convenience store set for Mayhem Armoury 1 (an alternate floor or two and some props, maybe an alternate wall or two)
A jail cell for Thoumonts (a couple of alternate walls and a couple of props)
A wizard's alchemy lab (a few props and a couple of walls, maybe a new tile or two)
A city Wall set, (a couple of walls, and some props)
A blacksmith's shop (a couple of walls, some props, and a tile or two).
And so on, and so on. None of these really is expansive enough for a standalone set or a booster release, and a collection of these sets (for example, the Jail Cell, Wizard's Lab, and Blacksmith's shop that could theoretically be put into a Thoumont's booster) wouldn't have the same cohesiveness of most other sets released.
Magius out.

Don't worry, I'm right in line with much of the thinking here. We're just finding our feet with the TerrainlinX workflow. Now that we're coming to terms with all the little bits and pieces involved we can start narrowing our focus on specific things.
We'll always occasionally need a big blockbuster set but focused area content is a great way to go as well.

Can't it be as simple as some of the blockbuster sets become compilations of smaller sets in a package deal?
I'd love to see more floor options for thumont's for example and alot of the small theme ideas here are fantastic. It would be nicer for both us and you for us to have new things to play with for us, and to buy and support you guys for you....
