After seeing the ruins in Treasures and Tombs, and seeing Mayhem destroyed I can't help but ask, nay beg that there be a Himmevil Destroyed expansion, or even a thoumounts destroyed would work too

For the posts in this thread how do you envision H:D looking? Would it be the wall and floor tiles from himmelveil as seen after a seige? After a fire? M:D is sort of a bombed-out hull of Mayhem but of course bombs don't really exist in the fantasy setting of Himmelveil.

I'm just wondering what you would be expecting from a destroyed set in this series?

I suppose you could just kitbash the Himm textures on to the Mayhem Destroyed plans to see how it would look.

To best visualize H: D, just imagine a medieval town after a comet or meteorite impact. Wait, I think I've heard that somewhere before...

Hmm - toadstools, small plumbers in red hats, and a helpless princess would round out that scenario nicely.

I would imagine that any medieval village would be completely obliterated by a direct comet or large meteor impact. I could definitely see a Himmelveil-like set for beseiged castles and so forth - in fact, that could be a really cool booster.

I was imagining something similar to tombs and treasures where they have broken wall sections, also some walls, trusses, and floors with fire damage.

I would like to see a ruined medieval set too. Ruined versions of the existing walls would work brilliantly. The one thing that disappointed me about the Mayhem: Destroyed set was that none of the walls had window frames or door jambs in them, making me wonder how people got in and out of the houses before they were destroyed. Perhaps a ruined Himmelveil set could include walls like that too.

If your typical medieval town were destroyed by a comet, there would be nothing much left, except for the more robust stone structures. Your average wattle and daub or wooden structures would be best represented by flat tiles with images of burnt rubble on them.

HAve you ever seen what teh ground looks like after a being hit by Trebuchets or Catapults or cannons? Looks a lot like a bombed out ruin.

Either that, or pumpkins everywhere!

I'm imagining the kind of damage that would be done by a dragon raining fire down on the town. Lots of fire damage, piles of rubble, broken trees, maybe a smashed wagon or stagecoach lying on its side, a broken fountain in the center of a cracked town square. You know, just a lovely little scenic town.

I was thinking more of an ancient ruined town`, so natural decay, greenery growing up the ruins. That would easily work with the more anthropogenic means of destruction that have been suggested, but not too much fire damage, please. Just walls knocked over or with lumps taken out of them. Also, none of the ruins in Mayhem Destroyed seemed to have doors or window frames in them. It would be good to have some walls that did have these features and possibly some simple rubble pieces to scatter around like a damaged door or bits of walls.

I think you have some good thoughts, and it made me think that we could have both natural and artificial destruction sets. If one is made an official set, the other(s) could easily be a kitbash; I would even go so far as to suggest that they should all be a kitbash, but that is just me.

Definitely seems like somebody with a little GIMP/Photoshop skills could make some destroyed Streets/Thoumont's both with and without some extra textures from Hinterland/Garden.
