So I've been dying to play Fallout New Las Vegas but have put off buying it because I know I will not get my school work done.

But I've been down for the last week. First for taking care of my sick daughter and now because I am sick myself.

So I grabbed my wife's copy of Dragon Age Origins. TWO DAYS!! TWO DAYS I've been playing it. From sun up to sun down minus sickness induced comas that I've been subjected to.

Must resist. I need to study. I've played some of the greatest video games of all time, but the depth of character development and dialogue in this game is truly amazing!

There goes my my grade point average!

Must pick up later. I made it through the intro chapter and was pretty damned bored...

What platform are you playing on, PC or console? Also, are you using the expansion?

Great game I cannot wait for the second game next year, esp after seeing Mass Effect 2.

My wife has the expansion but neither of us will install it until we have completed the first game. We also have a few of the DLC as well.

I'm playing on PC.

I was playing on 360. Got it as a gift.

I like the dialog choices, because the AI has different things happen based on some of the choices you choose as dialog choices.

It tells a story in different ways.

FO3 and FONV are to me, some of the best played games due to that very factor.

The choices for the companions are fine by me too, except for the fact that they attack when you really don't want them too.

I've tried setting them to passive, but they still attack when I would rather stay hidden or ambush an opponent. Of course, there is the best choice... don't have companions.... especially that damn dog.

This game is going on my list of games to pick up after the holidays (crossing fingers for a good Steam sale). I could use some good ole sniping fun.

I'm not a huge fan of the conversations. They usually don't have the things I would actually say and especially in DA they keep giving you party penalties for your actions. I end up looking at guides trying how to minimize my loses since I don't really favor the options anyway.

But what I really hate is that you have to sit through them again and again when you die. You cannot really fast forward by just holding up and hitting square. YOu have to stop and read all the option. SO DULL, when your repeating an old one.

And STOP triggering a party conversation when I'm looting corpses!!!!
