Why, oh, why, must we D&D players languish in a hell of no proper terrain?

Oh, sure, there's Chunky Dungeons for the Clix crowd. That's all fine and good for players who have a grand hall to place their terrain in, or for players who may get skitish at the thought of a sprawling, maze-like underworld of dwarven-hewn goodness.

Speaking of Dwarves: them, and the other small folk would be the only ones to look right in a 66.7% "shrunken" version of CD. All the walls would shrink right along with the floor tiles, and make for a comical outing for any normal size miniature.

Since the original Dungeon Works (not even available for the curious anymore!), there has not been anything fitting for a classic dungeon crawl.

Yes, yes, there's Gothic Realms, but that has a very distinctive look to it, not at all suited for an adventure like World's Largest Dungeons. Not many dungeons have sewers or waterways, either.

*deep breath*

Now, before you all rip me a new one , let me just reiterate that I love ALL of the sets mentioned above. They have their place, and they are a fantastic showcase for their appropriate settings.

Except for poor, orphaned Dungeon Works.

Oooo, I hope for the sake of my main gaming group that Himmelveil will include a new, 1"-scaled REAL dungeon. Something up to the caliber of the rest of WW's more recent releases, with an actual ProMasterBoard of its own. Or, even better, Paperlinx.

What say you?

Will you flame me mercilessly for spurning what is currently available, skimming over the lack of what's needed?

Give us a real 1" dungeon!

Wish I could help, but I am working to convert all my 1" builds to 1.5". I prefer it for my d20 outings. Lest a scale war break out, I would submit that I am aware most people are exceedingly sensitive about their scale choice and defend it unto the death. I just like the extra elbow room for my figures and the extra fidget room for my phat phingers....

No flames, but I do have to respectfully disagree.

Between Gothic, CaveWorks, and InteriorWorks: Castles & Keeps, I find most all of my dungeon needs comfortably fulfilled. Where Gothic has too "distinctive" a look, I turn to IW:C&K for more "generic" stone walls and furnishings.

Still, WorldWorks is nothing if not responsive to user requests, as has proven time and again. Feel free to discuss what you feel is missing and lacking, not covered by the above three, that you'd like to see in another dungeon expansion.

From a marketing standpoint, it makes perfect sense. D&D miniatures are a hot selling item. Why shouldn't WWG cash in on their success? The terrain supplied by the maker is poor, akin to what WizKids put out, originally, for their clix games. WWG offered a 3-D alternative for clix gamers, why not do the same for D&D gamers?

With regards to your needs, and potentially ours, too, being met by the three aforementioned sets, take note: you are saying that if we buy three different sets, all our dungeon needs will be met. What if we want to buy one set to get what we want? Hmm. I smell money that could be had by WWG. An untapped market... Cheers!

Although this may all be covered by the "big secret project".

Paper-Linx Dungeons? It would make it compatable with some of the newer releases, and give it a reason for being.

I couldn't wait any longer! The store may be right around the corner, but all this talk of the Chunky Dungeon broke me!

Now, I'm off to drool at the marvel of Dungeon-ey goodness, and try to figure out how to kitbash this into a proper 1" scale...
