The four of you have arrived in the town of Ravengro and have all gathered at the Restlands, the town cemetery, for the funeral of the recently deceased Professor Petros Lorrimor.

The four of you arrive on your own, and meet up at the entrance to the Restlands. Since you have just concluded traveling it is assumed you are equipped with your adventuring gear. Here you see the finely decorated coffin containing the professor's body. You are also introduced to the professor's daughter, Kendra Lorrimor.

Thank you very much for coming. It means very much to me that my father's acquaintances can take the time to come and show their final respects. I know you have just arrived, and I will give you a few moments to visit and relax while I thank the others in attendance. If it is not too much to ask, would the four of you mind serving as pallbearers? You can think it over, and I will check back with you shortly.

She smiles and excuses herself while she goes to visit with the few others gathered at the cemetery entrance. Councilman Vashian Hearthmount, Councilman Gharen Muricar, tavernkeeper Zokar Elkarid and his 13-year old son Pevrin, and Jominda Fallenbridge (Ravengro’s apothecary and one of the professor’s good friends).

Yulmanda turns to whoever is beside her and says Greetings. My name is Yulmanda Starbrow and this is my companion (she gestures towards the wolverine at her feet) Petrekka. It is truly sad that Professor Lorrimor has passed, we were good friends in life. He was an extremely knowledgeable man. And you are?

Yulmanda is happy to help carry the professor's coffin, if necessary.

Zandu (who is clean and well dressed, even though he just arrived.) bows to each of the other three in turn (with a respectful removal of his hat to both women) and says:

Greetings Sir and Ladies, I am Sir Zandu of Caterwall, although my friends call me Zan. I too was an aquantiance of the professor, although I would not say we were good friends. Rather he helped me after an encounter with some creatures of the night that he had been studing. It's interesting that he never mentioned his daughter in all the time I knew him. I wonder why that is?

YulmandaThe professor was indeed a most interesting man and very knowledgeable on the topic of nature, we shared a lot in common. I never knew of his daughter either, although not really having a family myself we never really talked of that and almost always discussed his studies and the natural world. Yulmanda bends down as she says this, and pets Petrakka, her wolverine.

Ah, thank you. Stormcrow, nice to meet you. I will wander off in to the crowd and take a seat, pretty much mimic the bulk of the crowd. Lucidia has no idea what a pallbearer is or really why she's been summoned by this stranger she met so long ago.

Looking down at Petrakka Zandu says:
That is a mighty impressive pet you have there, is it trained?

I wait for all the conversation to go to and end studing the 3 persons with me one step back...when I realize that it would be unpolite to not speak I come forward put a charming smile "on" and and present myself

U can call me Garou, is as a good name as anyother, it will be an honour to me to deal with the coffin all toghether

Then gives a second look to the animal trying to know what it could be and go one step back, without loosing sight of the group while try to remember if he knews or not Kendra of his time with the professor - If that is the case he'll have the "bit" of the first kind words and the first love...If not he'll begin to thing why the oroffesor doesn't talk me about her...

As I belive will be tHe one that u will be waiting for to answer...due time diferences I put a list of things I would like to do before ceremony begins...so you the Gm could use to make it flow...

As the conversation semms to be going "chit-chat" about the pet and I'm a city man that likes animals with potatoes and sausage I will try to disappear .

I'll try to scan the people trying to find know faces and eardroping whatever I can mainly I want to know "who's who", "what was latter of the professor"...

i only speak if answered something straight to me or if I could get something interesting from the conversation...

I will try to go near the young son if possible, put my hands in his shoulder and say your father was a good men, he was once a father to me...put the best moment you share with him in your mind and keep that feeling with you... and go away...

If i really knew Kendra I will try also to make eye contact - I supose she will be quiet busy - and whisper [u can count on me

Once the ceremony begin I'll try to seat near Stormcrow as she seems to be of the silent kind

Well I don't pretend to do all that only what can be done..so while the rest do things you Gm could be putting me in place

I will watch the crowd and surrounding area for suspicious behaviour.

I put again the "all smile face" and as the conversation seems to be arriving at a lack of understandement I say...

Sorry people, I knew that man and don't know any of what U're taking about...but right now It's not the best place to discuss that... Would you allow us to put the coffin where it belong and we keep speaking in the tavern before a mug of beer on my account latter ? As far as I know the Restlands has also a great list of liars, murderes and cheaters burried in there no ?

Mainly I'm trying to gain some time for the others in our group to react and if I can made some sense into a few of the citizens the better... If Stormcrow is not in the group I try to find her to see if she is in good position to help us..

Zandu (who would be holding the coffin) says from under the coffin:

Sir, Miss Lorrimor, please let us speak in a more civilized tone out of respect for the holy dead in the Restlands. Now sir, the acusation that the deceased is a Necromancer is a very serious charge indeed. What proof do you have that such a thing is true? Without proof, I am very relunctant to leave any body exposed without the protection of holy ground.

Durring this speach and afterwords I want to be using my (+5) Sense Motive skill to see if I can tell if they are honest, bluffing or if there is some other motivation behind their actions.

Which brings us to one big question, do you want us to roll numbers, and if so how do you want it done. Should we use an online dice roller, roll and then just post the number, or some other method.
Also for things like diplomacy, bluff, sensmotive, Hide and other checks like that, do you want us to roll or do you do all the rolling?

Oh and just for a final game note: If any spell is cast on me unexpectedly by someone I don't know (like the enlarged person) I would attempt to resist the spell as I would with any possible attack. Nothing against any of the other players, I just don't know them, so I wouldn't blindly accept any unknown spell on me without them telling me about it first.

EDIT: Ninjaed... Oh well slide my comment in wherever it fits in the conversation. I'll try to aid the deplomacy check.

Ok i'll try to push it a bit...

Please follow us and the rest of the prominent people of that village to the sacred ground to look by yourself that your fears are without fundament...and then we'll all take the beer and speak about that !

I try to point with my head to the councilmens, tavernkeeper... And Zandu that seems to be one good person to try to make my point !

Edit: well i go to sleep...i'll try to burry the corpse without more incident and do as promised...pay the beer but let the talk to the ithers unless they need my charisma to get information...

Zandu says softly enough that only the four pallbearers can hear (the three characters plus whoever the fourth is)
Something is amplyfying their fear. Look around quietly you all and see if you can see what could be the source of this fear. We need to diffuse this situation before innocents get hurt.

Aid Another on Garous's Perception check:

My bad! I presume I am holding the coffin.

Zandu will not be saying anything publicly about the professor.

But he will continue to watch and use sense motive to see if he can figure out anyting more about what might have provoked the mob.

He will also wait until after the ceremony is over, try to comfort Kendra, and then once she is in a little better state of mind, talk to both her and Father Grimburrow to see if we can find out any more about the mob. (are they all from the same area, are they friends to someone new, is there a reason they think he's a necromancer etc.)

Well ! If nobody seems to be for the speach I'll look at Kendra and go up for it... try to clear my voice and speak to the presents

Professor Lorrimor was like a father to me...he took me of the deeps of hell and made of me a better person...I konw he help also a lot of people here as well as was gratefull with the ones that helped him... he will be missed by all who knew him !

While I say that brieff words I try to take a look at all the people there and see if someone seems "out of place" like ourself...
