Some pics of tonight's D&D game... this was the final encounter of the adventure, we were missing three players and only had two Companion characters to fill in. The Octulus was holed up in the Temple of Khonsu (Khonsu being an alternate identity of Bahamut in my little world, to tie this whole thing in to the Paladin of Bahamut one of the guys is playing) with a few Alien Oozes to keep it company. The guys went through this like a hot knife through butter lol! These are just cel phone pics, I'll get the good ones from my camera posted soon (in the WWG sense of "soon.")

Not only was the temple a kitbash of some existing buildings (not WWG) but I also managed to include my new Apple Trees, and my donkey and camel standees. The Octulus was handmade from some Crayloa air-dry modelling clay, a marble, and a tiny wooden cauldron. The Alien Oozes are simple glass blobs for fish tanks.

Nice. Must have been fun.

(Aside: Putting the other building textures up alongside the WWG terrain sure shows up the massive difference in quality between the two suppliers. The WWG terrain looks like terrain that is made of cardstock. The other suppliers work looks like cardboard trying to pretend it is terrain. There's a big difference in how much suspension of disbelief, and how much immersion in the game, occurs between the two sets of terrain - or at least it looks that way to me.)

My substitute DM has already warned us he is a dungeon tiles and counters kind of DM, so there will be no WWG or 3D goodness for our next adventure...

Nice pics! I love your apple tree kitbash, but I really have to give it up for the Octulus. He's fantastic! I love the way his tentacles are artfully arranged, so that he can kill you in the most asthetically pleasing way possible.
