hi guys, so im making a 4'x4' table using Titan Control sheets to create a space hulk style table for 40k for when we play one of the expansion packs from Forge World, called Zone Mortalis. i'll be posting pics in here of the progress as i go.

working out how many posts i need to make, i already know i'll have to make another container just for the posts alone. think the total came to about 50+ 4way posts, and nearly as many 3way posts.

for anyone familiar with Forge World's zone mortalis table tiles, the design of the board may start to look familiar. i made up templates of their 4 tile shapes and just randomly threw a set of 16 together to make a design that didnt have any major open spaces to the table in the Terrainlinx Planner.

overall, i'm very happy with the product line, and enjoy how its still easy and streamlined to put together even in a fixed layout instead of the intended modular setup. i'm hoping to get in a game this weekend on this half of the table, and i'll try to get photos to show how well it looks with models on it.

That's going to be an fun table to fight on.
Any plans to go multi-level?

hmmm, i'm not sure yet if i will or not. i am thinking of making tiles that drop into the more enclosed room areas that will have props permanently attached to them for speed of setup. the trick will be to think of a nice layout for each room that looks good but doesnt overcrowd the rooms

There are times I wished I played Sci-fi and modern as well as fantasy. All of these sets are pretty awesome. If Denny doesn't really get back here I might start buying them just because they are so cool.

- like a basic quarters room? [is that redundant?]
- the inevitable latrine?
- prison cell(block)?
- storage room with shelves - either standard for small cased gear, or heavy duty with big steel shelves for whole cargocrates?

yea, something along those lines. im also thinking of a control room and med bay, and cargo hold, etc.
