I think there has been only 1 set done this year.

It saddens me greatly to see the state in which it is reduced the forum, miserable compared to the glories of the past.

I feel a sense of yearning.

I started the hobby of fantasy cardstock modeling back in 2006 , while looking for 3d terrain for my DDM Miniatures.

For me, WWG is inextricably linked to the history of my hobby, indeed, rather , IS the hobby , as other competitors did not produce products at its height.

I spent many hours on this forum dreaming, stealing ideas ( although I have not been very active, perhaps you have seen something of my works ) and now to see this desert is as if an era had ended.

I had my great hope in TERRACLIPS , which are ( or, were) the future , and I was really hoping they were born new products , since they have excellent potential for their simplicity and ease of use .

This has not happened , and perhaps will never happen again .

Hobby Life goes on, but now it is mixed with regret for a lost era that will never return.

It is sad WWG was abandoned without any warning.
You can still buy sets though.

It has had the effect on me to search other terrain sites and to design more on my own.
I think perhaps in the long run as others do the same it will be better for the hobby.

VictoriusX, as you can see in this thread, we definitely feel your pain.

One day there will be a long story to tell here. I can only say that your feelings are shared and the future is not yet written. When I have some time to breath I will speak to this situation, WWG's history, its future and what the journey meant to those involved.

And my sincere apologies for the vacuum.

I took it that way when I read it [the first dozen times] through my lens of frustration and disappointment, because when I read it, I wanted it to say *something*. It doesn't say anything meaningful. As much as it's great to know Denny is alive, it was easier to maintain a low level of morale by not hearing ANYTHING than to wait for so long to simply get another classic "just keep waiting, guys! sorry!" message. Perhaps Denny is really a bot that Chris worked out years ago to keep the illusion going? (just kidding guys! I know that you're both bots that Matt worked out so he could focus on the art stuff!)

As a backer of The Gallery, I cringe every time I see the word "soon" come up in their forums regarding when release milestones will take place... It's funny, the parallels between the two forums. That being said, understaffed software development is something I can wrap my head around, and so I emotionally prepared myself to not see/hear from them for some time. The transition with the forum here wasn't exactly graceful... I have been surprised to not see them even peek into the forums on a more regular basis. I guess it has to be that way to (a) not get sucked into something they don't have bandwidth for, and (b) not pretend to be here when they don't have time to really interact. They've all been doing this way too long with way too much skin in the game to not care about the place, though. However sucky I think the situation is after being around the forums for a couple years, it's nothing compared to how they've been involved in it.

I continue to wish the WWG crew success as members of the Cloudhead Games crew, and I will continue to try to support the community here in their absence. I'm just not sure how much longer 'the community' will be here. Traffic seems really down. Contributions from others tend to be in the form of off topic banter and... well... off topic banter.

Ugh. I suck at writing these things - that's why I try to just post kitbashes and helpful tips.

This is bologna! Everybody is capable of checking a forum more regularly than once a month. Hell, I don't even have a smartphone and can check while driving my car. If he had the time to drop that cryptic "whatever" message, then he could've at least left something more meaningful. I'm sorry, but I gotta go, I have been checking this forum multiple times a day for months now. I have apparently wasted my time in the vague hope that it will return.

When I look through some of the older threads and see people that haven't posted in over a year who used to post everyday, even have awards for several thousand posts, this is a slap in the face. I play tabletop, occasionally RPG. I very rarely play video games. I have to go somewhere that supports my hobby. Not keep supporting someone that peaked my interest to amazing levels then drops off the face of the earth.

Battle Systems Scifi terrain is going nuts on kickstarter. I kinda wish that WWG would have done something similar with Titan. It's a bit sad that it has gotten so quite around here lately.

Lets not kill WWG off yet.

Lets give things till Christmas and see what happens then.

(IIRC, doesn't The Gallery have a target date for alpha release to backers due around now? That makes this about the worst time for the Cloudhead Games team (first limited but still 'public' release of the game) and therefore the worst time for getting any attention here. Lets see what happens when that pressure eases up a bit on the Gallery team.)

Are we getting Necroblock for Christmas, and a discount on older sets?

2nd! (Call for a vote?)

I almost went and bought a 2 sets recently (Sunday night) but the last three things to show up on the "whats new" list stopped me in my tracks. The dates are Dec of last year, Feb of this year and May.

I waited to see if there was a Sale like there have been many times around the holidays, if Xmass comes and goes with no sale or communicationi think it will be time to move on....

Not really expecting anything new, still, there are things on my Sci-fi and Modern list of items to buy. As long as Denny keeps the site online I still have the opportunity to buy things I have put off so I could complete my Fantasy list. There are even thing pre TLX that I would like to get. Sale, no sale, no big deal to me, just a matter of time. Of course if the company starts up again, all bets are off, I would go for more Fantasy sets.

While I'm fairly new to the hobby, should Worldworks come out at any point in the future with a product I'd be interested enough to take a look, and probably get it going on past experience.

So, although it's disappointing not to have fresh product as regularly as before, there are still a few bits and pieces left to get. I've bought much more than I'll probably ever build, so a fair amount of the disappointment is simply not being able to buy the great work the guys here were doing.

I'll still drop by the site as long as it's here. Genet Models too for that matter, which is what brought me here in the first place.

It looks as though my pennies for WorldWorks will be going elsewhere, for a while though. Mainly on Kickstarter projects from the thread on this forum

I know this might be difficult to understand but we just came off of 3 months of 14 hour days, and no time off to deliver our Alpha to backers of The Gallery: Six Elements. Its not that we don't care, its that we are too exhausted and stretched too thin to fraction our time here at WWG.

I believe its clear to everyone here that the situation has and will be changing. We are doing our best to move the business into new hands. I hope to speak to this all in detail in December.

So Terraclips is dying from neglect and you're not just ignoring but actually dumping WWG for Christmas? I am sorely disappointed in the WWG staff. This is just weak, WEAK sauce.

I hope you guys are making miracles at Cloudhead, but how hard would it have been to pay somebody to keep WWG going too? Or sold it off FIRST, or closed the forums that you guys haven't been supporting, so we knew where it stood.

I am very disappointed in you.

Might want to go over to Paizo and check out their line of WWG TLX stuff. Don't remember them ever having any of the TLX stuff.
