OT: Anyone else getting regular glitches on this site? It took me 4 tries to load the reply screen. Yesterday I had 2-3 partial-loads of screens. It feels like something is off.

Back to topic: I do like Reaper and love that they are reaching out to other sculptors and companies to supplement the KS. It's really a win for everyone and the whole hobby gets better. Kudos to them.

Yeah, the wereboar is a little...gung ho. I'm sure that it will be exactly the right thing for some people. It's one of the great things of the KS -- you get a few pieces that look like duds but you don't care. It's such a great deal anyway that it just doesn't matter. You trade them to someone, or you find a use for them, or they become parts.

Unless you're running a historically accurate game Grump, I wouldn't worry about staying true to history!

I've been occasionally looking for cheap train models that will work for the correct scale for my western, but am not really looking very hard for one.

Well, Grump, there were the mounted Gastling guns - and lest we not forget the cousin "The War Wagon" (it just wasn't on rails) - the Duke can't be wrong, can he?

And now the weapons are unlocked. Today has been a good day for pledges. Could use more backers, IMO, though.

They threw in some 2" bases too, as a surprise goal. But momentum is proving hard to build.

We'll see if the shorter window was a good thing or not -- or maybe it's just too soon after the last one, or KS is not what it used to be, or...

I think it's more the fact that the first two Bones kickstarters were so great that most people who bought into them are still swimming in unpainted Bonesium, and can't justify getting in on a second or third set of them. After this, it'll likely be a few years before interest builds up enough for a 4th big bones kickstarter - though I imagine that smaller, more tightly focused kickstarters (such as the CAV Strike Operations KS) could do quite well for themselves (particularly ones focusing on more niche products that the other KS projects didn't thoroughly cover, or for the big, cool products that aren't really feasible outside of Bones).

Heh, I see that the Stoneskull image on the Kickstarter page has been changed a bit - a censorship bar put on the large Sophie.

And yes, I still have Bones from II that are unpainted (in fact all of them since I've been too busy to paint) and got my Wraith of Kings, Mars Attacks, Dreadball Extreme, Incursion, and Chapter House Terrain to paint... it will be a while... but seeing how a lot of places have Bones and the full retail price, I'll be glad to get Bones @ the kickstarter price.

I love that they are doing this and I really want to back it, but...

I backed out of Bones II at the last minute (I was all in) as I went all in for Bones I and I STILL have not painted most of them. The deals are great, but I just cannot justify blowing any amount just for them to sit in a queue for what will probably be years.

Now, if they do focused, smaller projects, I might be interested.
