K, know I havn't posted any pics in awhile (lost my camera for a short bit), and this isn't much, more of a request for opinions, but this is the first of several designs I have come up with for roof alternates. This is a corner section, and more of a sneak peek of what I have done so far than anything else, there are several others I have built, including a six inch sloped roof, six inch sloped corner roof, T section and a roof with four angled sides to the peak instead of two, but I'm not showing them all till I'm done. My question is, how does this look, should I add the edging strips to the edges of each roof section that I trimmed off, or leave it like this? What do you all think, opinions would be helpful.

Looks nice! Could you clarify your question a little? Not sure I understand what you mean. Perhaps a picture or ssketch of the alternative would help...


PS: note that in many cases where you find an L-corner on a historical building, it's due to a sideways addition to an existing building. So you might not see the nice clean L-shaped roof as in your pictures. More likely it would be a simple A-frame roof with flush ends, plus another such roof merged onto it from the side. Heck, the two rooflines might not even match up with one another...
