I enjoy the build of Mars, the way the walls angle nicly which adds strenght to the total build. Mars has take a few builds to warm to but now I think the sets is fun and ingenious in design.

I must say I have bought boh the sets at the same time and have spent more time building Mars than Armoury - I think mainly Mars is more a complete set than Armoury, and this knowledge adds to my drive (I know that sounds lame). With the advent of Bits of Mayhem giving a more complete picture I will probly review that.

I am also warming to the fact thatt Mars is a physically smaller set than Mayhem making the folds tougher at the start. Working on Mayhem I feel a bit like working with a easier set (ie something made for a lower age bracket) to put together. I'm not giving greaf over this, its more funny to set one set - Mars so small and tight while Mayhem is like a big boned cousin.

I am another whp preferred Mars to the Armoury.

Despite that I have only built the canyon bits so far, since I wanted them for a mesa in a fantasy game. It is the first kitbash that I have done in a while, adding a sloped 'ramp' up the side of the canyon. (I cheated, the ramp top is in two pieces, with the top half being part of the mesa top, and the bottom attached to it to make up the rest of the length, a bit of a kludge, but it works.) It is topped by the Sacrificial Portal in the scenario built around it. The slope is stepped at convenient points to allow figures to stand on it rather than slide back to the bottom. I am also thinking of using it with Caveworks in the future for larger chambers. I like the canyon bits.

For me the biggest difference between the two is in versatility, I can find a lot more uses for Mars than for Armoury. That and I liked the canyon and the crawler.
