I took the tab off, the box for black and white isnt checked, the cartidge is fairly new, but it wont print any color. Even when I do the test no color

Before you go that far, try soaking the print head in a small amount of boiling hot water for several minutes, then wipe it off and re-insert it into the printer and try again. If that fails, the cart may be defective.
