G'day All!

I'm having a bit of a row trying to glue the 3 barrel barrel packs from Bits of Mayhem. NO matter what I do or how I attempt to form the paper, when I create the main part of the barrels, I get a very sharp line, so when I glue to the tops and bottoms on, it doesn't look good because the joint is almost pointed.

Any one have any ideas on how to show the paper some love so it will behave?

CCotD' (Cerebral Cortex of the Damned)

In CapnG's Prop Instruction sheet, the the Garbage Can instruction-which is right above the Barrels. He shows using Tweezers to pinch the area along the glue line together to get a more "Flush" look.

You may want to try that if you haven't already.

Also, did you give both the tabbed edge and the opposite a good curve by running them over a sharp corner edge? so that they curve and will blend together rather than leaving a hard, straight pointed edge?

One last idea, possibly using a thinner card stock might help too. (for example the 67lb card stock. I use this for some of Mel Ebbles smaller fiddly bits for his cardstock vehicles)

I haven't tried building these props yet, but I can see what you mean. I ran across a similar (but not quite as severe) problem with the tire tabs assembly. Then I tried tweezers and it compresses the lip and made it a lot less noticable.

I did try the tweezers since it showed that in the instructions, but I have not tried running it along something to get a more rounded feel to it.

I too hit the snag with the tires but have not returned to them and started on the barrels (and low and behold, same issue).

CCotD, I noticed you live in Washington state and was wondering how you keep the moisture from all of that rain from warping your cardstock terrain. I'm not sure where Kent is, but my parents live in Battleground near Vancouver, WA and it rains there ALOT. My wife, son and I are flying up to visit them in a couple of weeks and are hoping for a dry spell...
