I can't figure out how to get the cannons to fit on the deck of the maiden through the holes in the side of the hull. The deck is as low as it can go, but to actually get the cannons through, they have to be pointing down at about a 40% angle, which is not right at all. Is anyone able to help with some suggestions as to what I could do, or what I've done wrong?

I'm not completely sure what you guys are referring to. The cannons do point at a very slight angle in line with the hatches shown here:



If that's what you mean then yes, that's how they are. At the angle in the picture show above they are set for close quarters ship-to-ship hull bashing combat. I had to set them at one angle and that's the one I ended up choosing. You could bash a wedge the cannons could roll up onto if you're looking for a higher angle of attack. I'm not really sure if this deserves a "patch" however as there's nothing inherently wrong with the design.

EDIT: I was just thinking, if you wanted the end of the cannon to poke out of the actual hatch opening you could print an additional cannon barrel. Cut the new cannon barrel in half and wrap that end around the first cannon for a narrow tip. This would extend the length of the cannon and create a taper that would exit the hatch. This would be a pretty simple fix. Am I making sense?

You might simply print them out at a slightly smaller scale.

Heh, I would also like to 'run out the guns'. Just watching that scene in the trailer for the second Pirates of the Caribean movie...
