Howdy folks!

I've just finished my first SoM build, and I've got a problem.

The foamcore-mounted tiles have begun to warp up around the edges giving me an nasy little cross section that looks like:

They are still usable, but they look a little bit tatty. Any thoughts on materials or technique changes that I can implement to avoid this problem with the next go-round?

To much Water in your glue causes that.

Try using a spray mount to put down your tiles, or apply a thinner glue, or weight down our tiles before they dry, or all three

You can try to bend it back, but be careful! I cracked the first one I ever made, trying to bend it back to flat.

However, with the floor tiles glued on top, the cracks aren't as noticeable, and it's still better than playing on a concave masterboard.

Has anyone experimented with making double sided masterboards, so that the two cancel out?

I use a spray adhesive, and have had no problems. Glue sticks also seem to work well.
