You might try checking out One Monk's generic paper shapes over at Paperworlds. The one down side is that they don't have any textures, but the plus size is that there are several basic shapes already done up in different sizes. You might find some parts that you could use for the engine room, especially some beams and what not. Here's the link if you're interested.

What system are you using for your raid? I did a wee bit with GDW's Soldier's Companion way back when. (The most brutal initiative system I ever encountered. Both sides roll initiative, adding modifiers for troop quality and command. Winner moves and fires. Both sides then roll initiative... A small group of elite soldiers could do an incredible amount of damage to a very large number of green troops. I liked it!)

I'm using GASLIGHT. Fairly simple game with detailed characters and movie-like extras - the characters get saves, the extras just die. The first expansion to GASLIGHT was The Journals of Victoria Hawkes/American Civil War by GASLIGHT, and this is the third scenario from that module. Now that I have found WWG, the Pubs and Inns set is perfect for the second scenario, a Reb dismounted cav group finding a small group of US Sharpshooter steam-riflemen in a pub. Regular bar-room brawl with a round of shooting and then pretty much hand-to-hand. GASLIGHT has also produced an RPG, Adventures and Expeditions by GASLIGHT, as well as a game for unit-vs-unit fights, Battles by GASLIGHT. Lots of great stuff to try out, without a 'world' setting allowing the players/GM to create a world from their own ideas or interpretations. I recently got a pirate game from the same authors, Blood & Swash/Thunder & Plunder. This will be great for the Maiden and Skull Cove, as well as pirate brawels in the Pubs and Inns setting. I am working on an idea to suspend chandeliers from wires layed across the walls in the Pub so the fighters can use the swinging attacks listed in Blood & Swash.

OOops forgot to mention that the prices on these paper-back pubications are very inexpensive. The initiative is card-based, with the GM drawing cards to activate characters or squad elements. The system allows you to develop your own steam vehicles or exotic weapons systems. Brigade Games carries their own line of GASLIGHT figures too, such as steam-jupm-pack troops, an electro-canon, etc.

Paper trains are the way to go. There may also be some paper steam engine models of other kinds out there, take a look!
