Isn't there going to be ForestWorks or WoodWorks? I think there should be, because a forest is as important for a roleplaying adventure as a dungeon. Well, at least i think that way. But let me share my idea with you. The ForestWorks set would include many trees and bushes (can't make a forest without trees and bushes! ), a wood path, entrance to CaveWorks, a river with waterfall and a small lake, witch hut, fortress of the wood elves, well hidden traps of the wood elves, a druid encampment, a huge central tree (some kind of magical tree, bigger than the others. A Tree of Life, ore something like that. You get the picture.), some rocks and some more trees and bushes ( ). There could be more things... Well? What do you think?

You might want to look over the "ExteriorWorks" thread, in this same forum.  Forests (trees and bushes) will assuredly be part of such a set.

I don't know if ExW will be a single large release, or multiple smaller ones...if the latter, you can expect ForestWorks will likely be one of the subsets.  Still, I think your suggestions would be well placed there.

Maybe Exteriorworks would be a good place for tiles to tie together the different other sets - roads, sand to turf to tie Sea Works to Village or Castle Works, something of hardened roads on turf to tie Village to Castle Works sets, etc. Just one or two of each would help tremendously. I think while RPG players look for smaller more detailed table top enviornments, other miniatures players look for 4 by 8 or 6 by 8 foot table tops, where a combination of 'Worlds' comes together, where siege engines can engage the castle over the tops of the village, etc.

I like the Idea of a forestworks

(actually I could use a Jungleworks...)

My vote goes to a Diorama Style forest that forms "walls or corridors" of foilage. It would be the most useful.
While it would be nice to have a battlefield full of individual trees, it would not be very practical for gameplay for miniature games or for role playing games as all those trees would rapidly become unmanageable on a table top.
I could instead see a set containing some of the following:

Forest paths ("corridors")
Hedge rows ("walls")
Some individual trees


Some props such as:
Tree stumps
Fallen logs
Massive trees (basically a pillar or column with a wide "root" base)
Tents
Campfires (like in caveworks)
Other plants (like in Seaworks)
A rocky forest stream
A waterfall and a forest pool.
A hollow tree big enough for a druid miniature to hide in.
Stand-ups of basic forest animals (bear, deer....sasquatch).
Maybe a lone log cabin or some campsite props .
