First of all, welcome to the world of cardstock modeling, and the WWG forums.
For cardstock, I actually use a much thinner one which works just fine for me. From Staples, I get the Wausau Bright Whie 100 sheet pack. It's listed as 65lb, 175gm. I have to reinforce long walls with spare cardboard between a sandwich fold, but it works well for me.
Spare cardboard as support can be found all over your house. Finish eating a box of crackers, or packet of cereal, just flat fold the box and use it for support as you need it.
