I have not purchased any of it though I have chatted about the game at my local game store. Seems like most of the people here who play it chuck most of the rules and just play heroes vs. Zombies.

don't know if you are familiar with any other clix games but horroclix is a lot more fun. People tend to play it just to watch zombies vs vampires, werewolves vs aliens etc and to amuse themselves.

Especially at tournametns things are more relaxed because everybody is getting the same prize except the winner has the word 'winner' printed on his prize.

The system itself is pretty good and some of their figs look really nice (the alien and predator sets in particular).

Well, I bought a Heroclix set for a nephew's B-day, and picked up some HorrorClix. I intended to immediately operate on them, but started playing with them, and it is kinda mindless fun!! I subsequently ordered about a hundred, getting doubles (one to rebase for Zombie/horrror games) the other to keep as is (and some Heroclix as well).

Horrorclix is getting much better with each release, which as you say, is the exact opposite of the way Wizards are doing things. Good to see Wizkids improving standards so that we benefit.

I can't help picking up the occasional Star Wars booster, but although the quality generally isn't as bad at their gallery shows, some of them are simply appalling. I don't have high standards for pre-paints, but some of them even I don't want to put on the table.

It's a shame that not as many places stock Horrorclix. I end up picking them up on ebay and missing out on the rares.

My buddy bought HorrorClix as he is a big Heroclix fan, and decided he wasn't going to play, he mostly just wanted to see what it was about. He gave the whole shebang to me over the holidays, and I just sat down to read it. Not a bad little game. I don't think I am going to play it, as with only one night a week for gaming, we would like to prioritize the other games we play, but I can't say it looks bad.

A lot of those figures have "Shallandrac" wriiten all over them. The Mad Lab guys, zombies and ghosts. Those zombies repainted easily and I was able to rebase and touch up about 20 zombies in the time it takes to paint one or two from metal. They respond to surgery well too, very easy to alter. A few of the female figures are kinda cute, too. (I mean, I personally don't "check out" the girl figures, but y'all might think their purty )

That's the set I use as well. I have the dungeon below shellendrak with the lab in it and the first horrorclix set roaming the manor.

I was tempted by the alien vs predator sets, and still am - but I'm managing to resist a the moment.

I get them just to debase them for other games.

I have not read the rules, but the fact that the mini's are pre-painted helps a lot.

If you don't like the game, just debase them for use with another horror game (like All Things Zombie by Two Hour Games).

the rules really support the thme of horrorclxi and Plot twist cards that you have to use give it a very nice feel.

I've constructed shellendrak manor specifically for this game and love everything they have released for it at the moment.

We played our first Freakshow games (newest set) last night had a lot of fun. If you have the miniatures and havn't tried it out. Just do it and you won't regret it.

I picked up three of the new Freakshow booster packs today... was a bit surprised when I pulled out the all important unique Ringmaster! Very cool minis this time around, on the whole. Hungry Bertha has to be one of the most disturbing minis I own... but I wasn't impressed with the flying monkeys... it looks more like flying brown cherubs with imp heads, bat wings and a monkey tail. Cool, but not monkeys.

I purchased this set a while back and it rocks. Although it may seem a bit simple, my kids and I enjoy it on weekly basis. Check out my gallery. I used the Streets of Mayhem, Mayhem Armory and ..... dang it I forgot which other one I used.



And the expansion packs are also neato! The Lab expansion and Freak Show are frickin' wicked.

You know, I like that "Runaway" girl. Even though she's carrying a head and machete, I'd probably still give her a ride. She's that cute

Looking at getting some zombies...is their a difference VISUALLY between the rookie, experienced, veteran versions?

Yeah, the word is out that you can field a large mass of painted minis quickly this way, and everyone is doing it. When the game first came out, you could get them dirt cheap, but they are steadily going up.

Well, I did it. Bought a brick on eBay for $50+$10 shipping. Anything people are looking for before I re-eBay the ones I don't want? I'll be happy to put them aside. Note that I am keeping up to 3 of each zombie for myself. Anything after that will be fair game.

Kane, if you don't mind putting a list together of what you have available (after you get them) I might want a few of them.

Which edition did you get a case of? Original, The Lab, or Freakshow?
