Well I need some cells for the next section of the keep. However I had a real hard time trying to kitbash something. This is what I ended up with:



This is sort of workable. But its not as good as I wanted. And I had also wanted to make something like a cage. But I cannot find anything the would work as a basis for it. I find it odd that there is so little cell textures in the fantasy sets. The only one I could find was the 1 clipit wall in C&K.

Mayhem PD has one that would have worked better, but I can't buy that set just for the one texture.

I wish Deathreaver's cage kitbash was available.


I also did make an 8" wall. But its not really kitbashed. I just photoshopped 2 4" walls next to each other without any tabs between them.

When I was working on the new pieces today I noticed that there is a 6" wall included in Gothicworks. I don't know why, but I totally missed it when I was working the other day. So I ended up kitbashing another one, there is a pic of it in my earlier post.

Heres the new room the prison. Its not quite the same props as the map. There is some inconsistencies between the room map and the overall dungeon map. This is build more like the overall one. I didn't have exactly the right props but I thought these worked okay. I was unsure about using the altar instead of another rack. But the bloody mess on it and monsterish style seems to fit alright in there.

I'd really like to see a fire pit prop and a medieval version of the shellendrak table with bloody tools.

I've started to try and take same angle shots, and I'm going to experiment with collaging them together.

Its a wonder work...i like the clean lines of the building. You are making really fantastic pictures. Looking forward.

Well the collage idea is a bust. I actually think its impossible. I'm tearing down a room and using its parts to make a connecting room in its place. But where those images merged the new room should be moved in at least one direction and its wall would have an alternate angle and size when viewed from the original room's perspective.

To have a chance and making a collage work you'd need to calculate a new camera angle and position to account for the new rooms relative position. That calculation is far beyond me.

I guess what I'll do in the end is highlight sections of the overall map and label which picture that section corresponds too.

Really shortly I'm going run into a problem, I don't have caveworks. So essentially the whole right third of the keep is going to have to wait.

I expect that I'll have finished the the rest of the overall map tonight or tomorrow.

I've done another variation on the curtains. These are 2" wide curtain walls.

Heres the last room of the keep first floor that I can build, the crypt.



I used the crypt walls rather than using tombs for the total wall length.


I finally used the great door. I wanted to use the roof parts too but the wall lengths weren't right.


The raised tier is the only part I kitbashed for this room. Yes, I know the heroquest tomb paint job is abominable, but I did it when I was 12, and I don't paint any more.


Again the figures are random ones tossed in.

These are great, LD, and thanks for posting them, as they show how well Gothic Realms works for dungeons - just right for the underground temple complex in the next phase of our adventure.

Inspired by LD's great work I have decided myself to run this module. The major problem is that an game of role I cannot lose a lot of time in mounting the scenary. So thinking about Ld's work i will to do it this way. This one is a test of the entrance to the dungeon, without columns and stair yet:

The scenary I will do it using a kitbash of the Minichunk. Since the dungeon of this module is under a very wooded zone.In addition I like much the aspect ancient and taken by the vegetation for a long time ago.I will use too hinterland for the ouside encounters, and caveworks to some parts of the outside and the dungeon.

In the stair room, there is a well I kitbashed onto the gothic tile. The other well is the original DWC one, although scaled down.

The trench pieces are supposed to be a tunnel.

I was a little unclear if the stairs where supposed to go up or down. So I did both versions.

The stair tiles was kitbashed to be 4 squares wide. The 2x2 skeletons and the skull tile where basically just cut out. The 2x1 skeletons where originally for in the coffins, I simply applied them to some tile.

I really like the way you used the trench piece to represent a tile. Very imaginative.

I'm not doing the rooms that are not outlined yet. I don't have the pieces I need for them. Mainly the large statue from hellworks or the smaller statues from Cathedrea Noctis.
